Ye-ah, euphemisms don't work for me.

No, they don't work for me either.

You know I debated doing some long winded post about pretty much all the games of the Mario series and what I think of them. So I guess I'm doing this.

SMB: You literally cannot hate it. It has done so much for the video game industry that by saying you don't like it makes you not a gamer in my book. No matter what genre or games you like.
SMB2: We need more games like these. Like really, even though it was a reskin of a different game, it was pretty creative and if there was ever a Mario game that is basically SMB2 2, I would be all for that. Plus introduction of Birdo :birdo:
SMMB3: This is pretty much the origins of modern 2D Mario. So many staple aspects of this that is so neat. Although a lot of the aspects it's now being run into the ground, but this is still cool. Plus Tanooki is the best power in the franchise.
SMW: This is my favorite Mario platformer. Highly nostalgic since it is the game that got me into gaming. So I'm biased in saying that literally everything is the superior Mario platformer.
SM64(DS): The DS version imo is superior. I mean, where else can you play as Yoshi, Luigi, and Wario besides spinoffs? No where. It's gr8. Besides that, SM64 is super fun. It's really creative and extremely well done. Too bad it's the only 3D mario game I like.
Super Mario Sunshine: *sigh* This is probably....my second least favorite main Mario game I played. I usually enjoy "black sheep" of series, but nothing really works in this game for me. I don't like a great majority of the mechanics. The coin collecting levels (especially those godawful blue coins) are insanely annoying, i dont really like any of the bosses, none of the worlds were interesting, and worst of all, it introduced my least favorite character in the Mario franchise: Bowser Jr.
SMG: Galaxy is ok. Yeah just ok. I enjoyed it a little but nothing it did made me go "wow this is amazing/great/fantastic/enjoyable/extremely fun" unlike most of the previous games I mentioned. I never really liked Rosalina in the first place and my enjoyment of her has only decreased heavily.
SMG2: Rip-off DLC bore-fest. Doesn't even have a good hub-world as SMG. Stupid. It's my third least favorite Mario game of main franchise
NSMB: Behold! My least favorite Mario game of the main franchise. Pretty much what this is, take SMB3, make everythiing stupid, take away the Koopalings, and add Bowser Jr. .......Yeah I don't like ANYTHING about this game.
NSMBW: Wow this a drastic improvement from NSMB. It kind of does the same things, only I think it executes them better, plus Koopalings!!!!!! i probably wouldn't have liked this as much, but playing multiplayer with my siblings was so fun and created so much memories. It was almost nostalgic.
Other NSMB, SM3DL, and SM3DW: Haven't played but I probably wouldn't even like them anyways.
SMRPG: I played this a couple of years back and I had such a blast with it. Is literally everything outdate: yes. Do I care: fudge no. For the time and the technology, I think this game was a really big success and I had so much fun playing it.
PM64: Introduction to the Paper Mario series. Really weird concept in hindsight, but it works, and it works well. This game is solid, but not as solid as...
PM:TTYD: Do I need to say why I like this game. Not really. Everyone knows already. And if you don't what are you doing reading this????? Play iiittttttt
SPM: And coming from TTYD comes my second least favorite Mario "rpg". Quoting rpg because it's like a platformer rpg but the only rpg aspect is leveling up and maybe holding items. Suffice to say I am extremely disappointed in gameplay and the story, essentially, is not even that good for how people claim they say it is. I felt this game kind of a letdown.
Sticker Star: I haven't played it, but that Birdo tho.
M&L:SS: This game, like SMW, was a milestone for me. It was the game that got me into my favorite genre of games: RPGs. Long explanation short, like SMW, I am extremely biased and nostalgic for this, and I think everything in this game is wonderful, but sadly the other games in the series don't come close to shining like this one.
M&L:PiT: I love this games concept. I really do. i really like this game, but I sadly I really don't. I found it extremely boring. It was also extremely linear. I mean Superstar Saga was linear too mostly, but at least you could explore. You couldn't at all here, which is a huge strike imo. The levels were lackluster, and honestly so was everything else. Maybe I expected it to be a good as Super Star so I raised my bars really high, but it didn't come close to meeting. For that reason PiT is my least favorite Mario rpg, even though I really wanted to like it.
M&L:BiS: I can sum up how I feel about this game, and most people too, in two sentences: Bowser sections were gr8. M&L sections were meh at best.
M&L:DT: Never played so no opinion.
Mario Kart series: Most games for me are hit and miss. Double Dash!! is my favorite by far and MKDS is my least favorite by far.
Mario Party: Minigame-based games bore me so much and I literally have never enjoyed any MP game.
Mario Sports: Admittedly I haven't played most of them, but the few I played i did not enjoy at all, except Super Sluggers. I had fun with that for a couple of hours.

I don't like Mario & Luigi RPG's.

I couldn't care less about the 64/Sunshine/Galaxy 'style' of games returning that people always seem to want, but I did enjoy those games.

sm64ds > sm64

the first winter olympic games was super fun, the rest not so much.

SMB: Staple first game of the entire franchise (not counting Donkey Kong). Obviously needed to have everything today. It was a tough game, but meh, it's not so hard now. Great game.

SMB2 Japan: Never really played it, so no opinion.

SMB2 USA: I really liked this game. Maybe because of the characters you can play as, or maybe just the theme of it. The music is great too! I think it's rather underappreciated.

SMB3: Still have yet to play it, but I guess it's really good. It doesn't seem all that sparked up, but just like with OoT for Zelda, it does set a lot of standards and staple-points for the franchise with this game.

SMW: Never played it. Love the Castle theme though.

SML: Haven't played.

*Any other sequel to SML and SMW I have not played*

SM64: Well, after recently replaying it, I found it just as fun as a child. I think this is the game that I have played the most out of every video game. When it was re-released on the DS, I found that version boring, so I assumed that the game was not all that it was cracked up to be. But after recently replaying it, I have found that the level designs and the way you play the game is really cool and fun. I feel as though I'm now appreciating the work that they did, like noticing the way they designed the levels, the way they challenge the players, the way the controls work...it really is a solid and awesome game. It's a game that I love to play, because there's just so much to do in that game, and you have fun while doing it. Only when I got to Tick Tock Clock and Rainbow Ride did I have anger issues, but it's nice that there are levels in the game that are easier than others, and worlds that are meant to challenge you in different ways. It is overall a superb game, and arguably ahead of it's time.

SMS: This game is definitely one that has many feelings. It is obviously a pain in the ass in many of the places, such as the secret levels or collecting the blue coins...man, do I feel like it was just meant to torture the players. Overall though I think it was an excellent game. I think there's a lot of detail you need to pay while playing so you can find all those fucking blue coins (especially in Noki bay). It was really nice being able to explore the areas and really emmerge yourself in the scenery, which definitely was one of it's strong points. Most of the levels were really fun and creative, and I thought the boss battles were all exciting and made great use of the gimmick of the game. Thought the plot was great for a Mario Platformer, and really felt they did a great job with the characters and getting to know what Isle Defino is all about. There's a lot of things you can miss if you don't look around, and the more you are aware in the game, the more fun you have. Except with Yoshi, especially getting to that fucking island. This game has many patience-killer levels.

SM64DS: Like I said in the 64 one, this game was okay, but I feel the original was a lot more enjoyable. I felt that it was a hassle having to change between the players, and I felt that the added levels took away from the atmosphere that the original made. It's a great game, and maybe it was the controls that really bothered me, but it was just lacking.

SMG: At the time I thought it was revolutionary. It was exciting, and a game that was both beautiful and ahead of it's time. I feel like there are a lot of amazing things about this game. But after replaying it recently, it's not as glorious as I remember. I think it's because I've only done the beginning levels and those were the boring ones, but I feel like it's a bit too easy. Maybe it's because I played the game right after SM64 and SMS, with both are way harder (especially SMS) than SMG. I think the level designs are great and the pacing is great. They really teach you like in SM64 the controls through the levels, which is really smart level design imo. I think it's definitely a game worth being considered an amazing Mario game. Rosalina definitely was a great addition, and her background story was really touching and really made you get to know this character, and made her just amazing. I do wish that there was more openness in the levels and made it feel more smoother, but I think because of the set-up of gravity and dealing with the camera angle, it had to compensate and not be too big. Definitely noticed the camera and how it can be a bit of a hassle, but at least it's way better than SMS' camera that can be a bitch to work with.

SMG2: As I've expressed before, I find that SMG2 was not that great. It was fun and stuff like SMG, and there are some levels that are more enjoyable than in SMG, and overall was a lot smoother to play, since they were used to the controls and how it worked, but I feel that it is inferior to the original. It took away the ability to really explore and play any level in order and instead made it similar to the 2D Mario Platformers where it's linear and you really don't have much variety in levels you play. The hub was not as enjoyable as the first 3 games, as it was just a small mario head, and the replacement for Rosalina was really obnxious and I really don't like him. I also feel that the Green Stars were just meant to be terrible, and felt really lame as though it was a last minute addition to the game just to make you feel like you're collecting a ton more stars. Yoshi was cool and all, but only in certain scenarios.

NSMB: For "resparking" the 2D Mario games, I feel like it was a nice addition at the time. Honestly though, the game has little replay value once you complete it, and thus was a bit boring once you get through all the levels. I hate the mini mushroom's importance in unlocking things, such as 2 complete worlds. I mean really; that was just one thing that I really hated. Just any level that required the mini mushroom to either get a star coin or to unlock a world. I felt that it was very tedious and unneccessary. Other than that, I thought it was a pretty solid game; the bosses were cool and unique and had fun against them.

NSMBW: Definitely better than the first one; the levels felt more entertaining and felt like there was a lot more to do than in the first one, and playing it with 4 players was definitely tons of fun. I think that the Koopalings were a nice addition, and the worlds felt a little more lively. Definitely enjoyd the level designs for a lot of the levels; can't stress that enough.

NSMB2: I refuse to get the game because I felt like it was just tedious now, and it just did not look fun. It looked like the first, which was meh, but was just coin chaos. No.

NSMBU: I feel like, even though the dead horse was beaten a bit much at this point, it was definitely an awesome game. May be better than NSMBW, but I will have to do a comparison. The levels were great, and I liked the power-ups. I thought that it was tons of fun, especially with 4 players. The levels were definitely a ton to play, and the bosses were cool, even if done with NSMBW. I do like some variety in the way you move, such as the completely connected world, and that section in World 5 having to find the secret way to get through, and all the secret levels throughout the world. It was really a great game.

SM3DL: At first, I was a bit offput by it, just because I felt like they were taking the 3D Mario platformers and basically turning them in 3D NSMB games, but I think they are different enough. I just hope they haven't replaced the main 3D Mario games. The levels were fun at first, but just like with NSMB, I feel that after awhile it just doesn't hold much replay value. Like, I get it's a first time for it, and many of the areas were really cool, but I think that repeating basically half the levels in the special level with just slight variety was a bit on the boring side. I didn't like the camera so much either. Decent game though.

SM3DW: Definitely a boost compared to SM3DW. I feel like the level designs were excellent, and did a great job with making it fun and challenging while keeping things moving. I also like how each world had a "theme", but the levels did their own shit, which was nice. It felt like it was finally breaking away from the monotonous standards of the NSMB series that we've been plagued with since after SMG. Again, playing with 4 players is so much fun. There were a lot of issues with the depth, and being able to see where you're going to land while you're in the air. That was a big problem when you're playing with more people and the screen is trying to accomendate for the width. I think this game has a lot of replay value, which I wasn't expecting since all the other 2D Marios didn't have that so much.

SMRPG: I first thought it was a fan-made game after exploring Youtube ages ago and seeing a link to a playthrough of it. Then I come to find out that it was a real game, which was really cool. It definitely was a fun game, and I really enjoyed the areas, and the battling, and the enemies, and the bosses, and all that. I get the time and the limitations of the SNES, but it was a game that I'm kind of afraid to replay since I feel like it's a lot harder looking than it really is. There's a lot to enjoy.

PM: Such a unique and fun experience. I love the setting and the characters, the homeliness it felt to explore areas that were unique but felt...Mario. Like, this game was basically a paper-version of what I would imagine SM64 would be. Like, it just had a ton of unique things about it and had a lot of new, fun things, but it just feels like it was Mario. I don't know if I can explain it properly. I think it's because the other games kind of deter from the Mushroom Kingdom setting, but I feel like the atmosphere was just...fun. It makes you really enjoy teh game. I just wish that it would save the stuff you collect, like the tattles and the recipes, but alas, it's an amazing game.

PM: TTYD: Love this game, a lot. I tend to replay it every summer. I feel that it just took PM and fixed all the shortcomings it had. I like the scenery and I love the characters and I love the plot, and I think the battle system was the best out of all the games in the series. Only in Chapter 4 did it feel tedious to go through the game...oh and in Chapter 7 finding General White, but aside from that, it was fun and smooth and tons of fun. It didn't have that homely atmosphere like the first, but I think it worked great for the attitude of the game.

SPM: I really do love this game. About as much as I do with TTYD. The gameplay was lackluster, and the art style was...okay. But I really enjoy it for all the things you can do in this game, and for the plot. I definitely think it's the best plot in the Mario franchise, even if it was a bit cheesy. It felt a ton of fun watching the story progress and actually feeling like the characters had more than the surface characterization that they do in most Mario games.

PM:SS: I do not feel like ranting about how much this game sucks. I've done it enough.

M&L: SS: It's a game that I find to be a shorter than it feels. Like, I don't realize I only spent like 25 hours getting to the end of the game. I really enjoy the game and the gameplay, and of course how silly and funny it is with the plot and the characters. I really think it was a unique game with a unique feel and really expanded Mario in new areas. I don't think it was the best in the series though.

M&L: PiT: This game is...sadly the most lackluster of the 4, but it's still an amazing game. It definitely feels like it's a lot shorter than it should be, and I feel that had more stuff been put in the game, it would have been a lot better of a game. I love the final boss(es), as it really feels epic, and I think it's the best one gameplay-wise. It was very hard as a child playing that game and facing all those bosses at the end in a row. I think it also had some of the best jokes and gags out of the series, and of course Baby Mario, who is amazing. If only there was more to it, and you didn't have to buy each attack instead of just having BP.

M&L: BiS: I think it's arguably the best, or at least tied with DT. I feel like it did a great job with letting us play as Bowser without making us feel like they were forcing Bowser playable, as though he was a good guy or that he liked the bros. Anywho, it had awesome bro moves, had a well moving plot (though once you get past blubble lake, it seems to just fly by too quickly), the enemies and bosses were really unique, and that Final battle...oh man is that the best final boss music ever! I feel like it was a really solid game that has tons of replay value, and one of my favorite Mario games in general.

M&L: DT: I feel that this game definitely makes use of everything that the previous three bring to the table, and does an amazing job with making the game fun. I find that the achievements motivate you to try your best in battles, and I feel like the bosses and enemies were really good in this game. I am a little...meh about the graphics, even though I can't help but appreciate that they went with the art style to make the game better in 3D, and their hardwork definitely paid off with how great the game is. The bros moves were great and fun, though I wish that it wasn't separated to certain moves to each of them. I love the Dream world concept and all the creativity they had with it. I also love the final boss and the music to it, which does rival PiT and BiS in gameplay and music (respectively), but a bit shy. After seeing so many Mario series going downhill in the past half decade or so, it's nice to see this one is still staying strong.

I'll talk about the rest of the games I've missed later.

Super Mario Bros.: It's the game that started the main series, and contributed to saving the video game industry. Even today, it's an enjoyable game. While some levels are tough, I am usually able to beat the game easily.

Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels: The levels are too hard to enjoy the game.

Super Mario Bros. 2: Though it was a reskin of Doki Doki Panic, it was really creative. It had multiple characters to choose from, each with their own special abilities, it introduced many Mario characters we know today, such as Shy Guy, Bob-omb and Birdo and I love how you throw vegetables to kill enemies.

Super Mario Bros. 3: It changed the gameplay of the Mario series, gave us themed worlds, introduced the Koopalings and the Racoon, Tanooki and Frog power ups. Overall, this game was a big step up for the Mario series.

Super Mario World: This is probably my favourite Mario platformer and isn't nostalgia. It has some of the best level designs, and gameplay and I really loved the powerups in it, especially the Cape Feather. It also introduced Yoshi. I really like the Castle theme from this game.

Super Mario 64: This game is really fun. I love all the different moves Mario could use and it has very creative level designs. It has a great soundtrack too, such as Koopa Road and the Slide.

Super Mario Sunshine: It introduced Bowser Jr., has a plot other than kidnapping Peach, but some levels really frustrate me. The voice acting is meh.

New Super Mario Bros.: If there was a game I would have nostalgia for, it would be this game, since it's the Mario game I grew up with. But I don't have nostalgia for it. A lot of the levels were boring, with the exception of the levels in World 7. But the Castle theme is pretty cool.

Super Mario Galaxy: This game is really good but I wouldn't say it's the best. While it has cool visuals and beautiful music, the level designs were a bit easy. This was my first Mario game, but as I child I never really liked it.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii: This game was another game of my childhood. Me and my brother would always team up and conquer all the levels. It was really fun, however I think this game is only good on multiplayer. On multiplayer, it's a blast, but on single player, it's boring. I wish every character had unique attributes.

Super Mario Galaxy 2: I never played it very much, but it felt almost the same as Galaxy.

Super Mario 3D Land: I really enjoyed this game. It was really fun and whenever I wanted to play a Mario game on the go, it would be this one.

New Super Mario Bros. 2: Way too easy, and boring.

New Super Mario Bros. U: At this point, I was sick of the NSMB series. I had to force myself to finish the game.

Super Mario 3D World: I never got too into this game, but I love how they returned the unique attributes about every character. Rosalina making an appearance is nice.

Sure I'll go through the list here.

SMB: Much respect for laying the groundwork for the series and all it did for the industry but compared to literally everything else, it's incredibly vanilla. TBH, I really can't go back to it after playing SMB Crossover. Bonus points for including Duck Hunt on the same cartridge. <3

Lost Levels: I was able to beat this straight through without warping. Or save states. Once. Never again. And this is coming from a guy that thinks Mega Man is easy.

DokiDoki Mario 2: My favorite of the old-school games regardless of whether or not it's a reskin of an existing game. Probably has some of my favorite boss fights in the entire series to boot. I'd really love a return to this style of gameplay. Probably won't happen but I can dream.

SMB3: So. Many. Powerups. And all of them are fun to mess around with, 'specially the Hammer Bros. suit. Good levels, too.

SMW: *flame shield* Probably my least favorite of the original lineup. Felt like a step down from SMB3 in the powerup department and there isn't as much level variety. Not really into how pretty much every song is a remix of the overworld theme, either. Laughably piss-easy "boss fights". Yoshi, secret exits, and Star/Special World are neat, though.

SML: This game is trippy and weird even by Mario standards. Unexpected shmup levels are fun. I like it but it's really short. Like ~20 minutes short. Not worth the price that they're asking for on the eShop.

SML2: One of the stronger titles on the Game Boy, period. Still trippy and weird but not as much. Level design is really good here and there are plenty of secrets here to keep you interested. Really neat level motifs, too. Really like the Macro Zone. There's a massive difficulty spike when you get to Wario's castle which can catch you off guard if you're not ready for it. :wario:

SM64 (DS): This is where I really started getting into the series and why I prefer the 3D games to the sidescrollers. Mario controls really responsively and all his acrobatic stuff is satisfying to pull off. Really love the mission-based gameplay. One of the stronger OSTs of the series. The DS remake is even better to me because of the additional characters and stages. The minigames are a fun little diversion, especially that Luigi poker game.

Sunshine: <3 this game. Nintendo really did a lot fun things with their franchises during the GCN era and this was no exception. I like this one because it's so different. Mario is still fun to control and FLUDD is fun to experiment with. Where else can you have Mario do the worm all the way to his destination? The game itself is all summer-y and happy and a good time with a decent challenge to boot. Yoshi's little boat ride can go die, though. also babby :bowjr:

NSMB: Fun little throwback title. Nice to have Mario on the go. Shell power is a broken good time. Not much else to say, really.

Galaxy/G2: These games are purty. A little on the linear side but still a fun time. Lots of level variety to keep it interesting. Dat music, tho. Sadly, the last platformer(s) that I really loved.

NSMBWii: Got it for Christmas, beat it 100% in about a week, Star World and all. s'alright/10

Skipped 3D Land, NSMB2, and NSMBU

3D World: Lost interest at around World 5 and haven't touched it since. Basically NSMB in 3D. Good music, though. Captain Toad is fun too.

Oooh this looks like fun, I'm gonna go off of DF's list and add whateverrrr I feel like :')

SMB: This game is just really, really great. For all it has done for the video gaming world, I have to say it has aged really well, imo, and it was one of the first video games I ever played.

SMB2: I will gladly admit I honestly could not figure out this game when I was younger and playing it on the NES ;w;. I got so stumped on 1-2 that I gave up, but then I played it when it was remade for the GBA, and god it is so good. Vastly underrated game that deserves a lot more attention. Also, mix SMB2 with Jack Black. Beautiful.

SMB3: This... this is the one I just cannot get into for some reason. It is not a bad game by any means, but I just struggle trying to get into this game and see what is so amazing about it, honestly. My opinion of it has gotten a little better over the years, but ehhh.

SMW: I did not get to play this game until the Virtual Console on the Wii rolled around, but good lord it is amazing. Probably my favorite 2D Mario platformer. The levels, the music, Yoshi, all of it. It is so so so good.

SML: I love this game. I legitimately love this game. My only beef with it is that it is so short, but it is so random, even for Mario standards. I love the levels, the music is some of the best for a handheld Mario game, imo, and I just have a loooot of fun with this game.

SML2: Aaaaand then there is 6 Golden Coins... legitimately might be the best handheld Mario game of all-time, at least among the 2D Mario platformers. I love this game even more than its prequel, I have spent so much time playing this game and it has become so memorable. Also, the space music. Mix it in with, again, Jack Black. It makes for the best time.

SM64(DS): I used to not be able to play this game just because of the Bowser painting. It scared me so much, sue me ;w;. Either way, I replayed through this game a few months ago and 120-starred it, and my lord I understand why it gets the love it does. It is another game that has aged really well, and 64DS is really really great too. Although honestly I love 64DS a looot just because of the minigames :').

Super Mario Sunshine: I cannot express my love for this game. It is one of my all-time favorite video games, I love everything about it. The worlds, the music, FLUDD... I honestly did not even mind the blue coins or any of those missions. Also, the platforming levels without FLUDD? Golden. I love it.

SMG: I agree with DF when I say SMG was just okay. I have not played it in awhile, a year or so at this point, but I honestly just could never get into it much. I have been meaning to replay it just to see if I could get back into it, but... ehhhh...

SMG2: Now I am really weird. I love this game. SMG2 is one of my favorite Mario games and one of my favorite Wii games. I just feel like everything good about the first one was taken, maximized, and put into SMG2.

NSMB: I also did not like this game :X. It is not bad by any means, but I just did not enjoy it as much as other people did. It was kind of boring, honestly.

NSMBW: I also agree with this being a drastic improvement. I barely ever got to play multiplayer, but this was just a better overall game and I honestly really enjoyed playing this one through. Never played any of the other NSMB games though.

SM3DL: I dunno. I liked this game a lot. I appreciated having something different from the NSMB games, and I thought they did a really really good job with it in this game, but......

SM3DW: This game did it so much better. I love 3D World. The Captain Toad bits are great, some of the levels are memorable, and I loved the option of being able to play as different characters again, that was really neat.

SMRPG: This game is RPG at its finest. One of my favorite Mario games and I loved playing this game, every single minute of it. Have not played it in awhile though, I really should again soon.

PM64: This game is really strange. It gave us the Paper Mario series, and I love it for that, and it is a great game overall. It is just really, really weird, and I hope I am not the only one who thinks that. Also, the Crystal Palace is one of my favorite locations in any Mario game. The puzzles were fun and god the music is great. Also, Crystal King is amazing. I love that boss fight and I love his battle theme.

PM:TTYD: I almost 100%'d this game a year ago after not playing it for a few years, and I forgot how amazing and gorgeous this game actually is. I might actually like this game more than SMRPG. It does everything right. Also, I am one of the Glitzville fanboys. I am sorry ;w;.

SPM: I honestly enjoyed SPM a lot. I totally get the gripes about how different it is from TTYD, but it was kind of neat seeing a Paper Mario game with not really any RPG in it, and I thought it was executed really well with SPM. I had fun :')!

Sticker Star: Never played it!

M&L:SS: Superstar Saga is kind of weird to me because I think my opinion of it has gone down a bit ever since I played Partners in Time and Bowser's Inside Story. It is still a really fun game, but I dunno, it is probably my least favorite M&L game.

M&L:PiT: I looooved Partners in Time. A genuinely fun game and it was one of my first DS games when I got my DS for Christmas one year (along with MKDS). The story is pretty good, the boss fights are wholly amazing, I really enjoyed the music, the time travel mechanic was really neat, and I liked having Baby Mario and Baby Luigi.

M&L:BiS: It is really tough to figure out what my favorite M&L game is, and honestly I do not think I can make that decision myself because I loved Bowser's Inside Story a lot too. The Bowser bits were great, the Mario and Luigi bits were also great, it was pretty neat having Fawful back, and the humor was perfect again in this game.

M&L:DT: Never played it!

Mario Kart series: I have enjoyed every Mario Kart game I have played except for Super Circuit, which even then is not that bad. I have never played SMK, but otherwise they are all pretty great. Double Dash!! is probably my favorite, but MK7 is really great too. I wish I had MK8, the demo of it was so good ;w;.

Mario Party: I love the Mario Party series, although for some reason I never really enjoyed Mario Party 3. I have so many memories of Mario Party 2 and Mario Party 7, though. Also, Mario Party DS was really, really good.

Mario Sports: I love the Mario sports games too, like the baseball games are great, 3-on-3 is a great DS game, and nnnnggghhhh Strikers is so amazing.

Another thing for Super Mario 64: It was obvious that Yoshi originally was meant to have a larger role. But the result is good anyways.

Mario Kart 64: Will forever be the best racing game. Your potential disagreement is not a weapon.

Yoshi's Cookie: Looks delicious. The Yoshi cookie makes me happy just by looking at Yoshi's proud face.

Donkey Kong(I still consider it a Mario game): “creepy” but fun. Wish Donkey Kong was more important.

Super Mario RPG: It's magically unique and the music is marvelous and it Looks awesome and for bonus points for having dinosaurs and Croco.

Luigi's Mansion 1 and 2: Nicely done, Nintendo, you made Luigi more important.

Mario Galaxy: It's the gane that made me look at Mario games in a artistic way.

I've never really gotten into Mario platformers until New Super Mario Bros. DS

Before you turn against me and shriek that how dare I call myself "real" Mario fanatic for getting into Mario platformers a bit late in my lifespan, single player games didn't interest me until when I was adolescent. That's because if my twin and I can't play together simultaneously, then no play. So I grew up playing games like Smash Bros., Mario Party, Mario Kart, and Mario sports games like Tennis. And also, admittedly, I was frightened to tackle on games on my own.

So the only taste of the classic Mario platformers I had were the Super Mario Advance versions of them. I grew up with voices in my games so I prefer that over the silent NES/SNES versions of them. Super Mario Advance (Super Mario Bros. 2) is probably my favorite Super Mario Advance game while Super Mario Advance 4 (Super Mario Bros. 3) is my least favorite. Basically, Super Mario Advance (Super Mario Bros. 2)>Super Mario Advance 2 (Super Mario World)>Super Mario Advance 3 (Yoshi's Island)>Super Mario Advance 4 (Super Mario Bros. 3). I still prefer New Super Mario Bros. to Super Mario World, though, mainly because I have fond memories of that game AND Mario vs Luigi mode is the best side mode for a Mario platformer ever.

Super Mario 3D World is probably my favorite 3D Mario platformer. There was never a Mario platformer game like that, the only thing closest was New Super Mario Bros. Wii or U. 4 players playing with each other is such an experience, that no single player experience can even come close to matching up with that. Super Mario Galaxy has pseudo two players. Everyone likes to complain about beat the game as Luigi twice, but it certainly works for us: my twin got the taste of the game first, and then I played it as Luigi. It was just perfect. Lol.

Mario RPGs are something I don't really....have much passion for. I love Partners in Time to death but that's about it. I've never got the hype behind Thousand-Year Door and I really shouldn't have let the praise behind it raise my expectations for the game. I've expected it to be like, SO MUCH better than Paper Mario but I found myself preferring the original Paper Mario more, despite that Thousand Year Door does have some improvements over the original Paper Mario. For starters, I'm not a fan of the crowd gimmick like at all, and i'm not used to how practically EVERYTHING is an action command (like Goombella's tattle...why does that need to be an action command again?).

My favorite Mario Sports game is probably Mario Tennis Open, but it's probably because Baby Mario is playable in it. It's really the one I've invested so much time into. If you see my records, it's pretty indicative that I've played a lot of this game. I abhor some of its choices though, especially the roster overall.

Mario Sports Mix is a pretty underrated game. The only letdown I have with it is the measly character roster, probably one of the most disappointing character rosters I ever had (it's probably second to Mario Tennis Open's). Also, I don't like separately unlocking characters for every sport, that's dumb.
