Question for Xbox One owners

Dry Bowser
I've been thinking about buying an Xbox 360 because I think I underestimated that console, and as for Xbox One...well that depends are there any changes as of late? Am I allowed to play games offline now? Does the Kinect still watch you even when you're not using it? How much is the online subscription fee?

I don't own an Xbox One, but I can help. After E3 2013 they changed their policies. You can now play games offline and the Kinect is no longer sold with the system.

Sorry to double post but I have another question: How do you fix the red ring of death situation without going out to buy another 360?

Newer 360 models (S and Elite) don't have the red ring at all. Literally the LED is in capable of displaying red.

Though if you do get this kind of issue from what I've seen the only guaranteed way is to send it in to Microsoft. Google is your friend if you don't want to do that.
