Steam Machines and Steam OS

Any opinions or thoughts on Steam Machines and Steam OS?

Steam OS does look nice from what I've seen.

Steam Machine because now I can use pc gaming as a console, and I'm not much of a PC guy.

I'm pretty happy with my ~$700 gaming PC that we and my brother helped put together, so no. I don't use Steam outside of chatting and playing some games either way.

i use it as an internet browser since my pc is acting up and doesnt want to start random programs

I was thinking that Steam has a "message board" thing, contributing to the community with those trading card things, Steam Workshop, Steam greenlight, other things like that.

I mean, the only thing I do is Workshop and the games/chatting.
