Well ambidextrous mean the ability to write with both hands.

Yes, it does. Being ambidextrous doesn't necessarily mean that you only write with both hands; it also means that rather than having your right or left hand as dominant, they both are dominant.

For example, my dad writes and eats with his left hand, but he bowls, carries, lifts, and does just about everything else with his write. Thus, his right hand is dominant since he does more with it naturally.

If you do just about everything with both hands, you are ambidextrous.
