What happened to Mario in the Smash Bros. Games?

Smash for Wii U modding has only started

I don't have recording equipment, but I did change Bowser's voice in Project M and he sounds a million times better.

I did this too, there was a mod that changed his voice clips to his BiS voice clips and it was a lot better.

Smash Mario is Hardcore Mario, lol.

To be honest I wouldn't mind the angst if he would just crack a smile every once in awhile, maybe have a slightly more enthusiastic "Woohoo".

You know what, Mario should be just like the Mario Strikers Mario: punky, a bit edgy, but still cracks a smile often.

Mario sounds like he's 65 in smash.

Of course. I don't know what the hell Martinet's voice direction was, but it doesn't seem like he was Mario as much as he wanted to.
