You are picked to create a single galaxy for the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy 3! (Totally made up XD)
How would your galaxy look like?
Feel free to add descriptions, missions, or a tour of your galaxy. Get creative as you want, but no copying!
 
Here are the following galaxies I'd make

Pinwheel Galaxy
Whirlpool Galaxy
Black-Eye Galaxy
Sombrero Galaxy
Kartwheel Galaxy

Yeah, all of these are names of actual galaxies out there, and it would be sweet if a new Super Mario Galaxy game actually took inspiration and made a level based off a name of an actual galaxy.
 
Ooh, what's the black eye galaxy? Sounds really interesting!
 
Some of my ideas.

Moon Fortress Galaxy. A large moon with a runway and a rocket ready to launch, and a large complex to explore. (Similar to X-Naut Fortress.)

Galactic Cruiser Galaxy. A large cruise liner level inspired by Daisy Cruiser from Mario Kart Double Dash.

Yoshi's Island Galaxy. Pretty self explanatory. This would be a bit like Starshine Beach Galaxy but would have Yoshi NPC's to interact with.

Metro City Galaxy. A galaxy set on a futuristic city that's full of retro futuristic, art deco designs. And one cool feature is you could get around by riding a monorail. And one mission would be you'd have to explore the sewers and encounter a boss fight in the style of Mario Bros Arcade.

Tank Battlefield Galaxy. This is inspired by the first tank level of Super Mario Bros 3. But it would have you traverse a large battlefield with endless tanks firing at you and you'd have to jump from tank to tank to get to the massive Boss tank to fight a General Boom-Boom. Though unlike the tank levels of 3D World, this wouldn't be on rails.

A galaxy with a DK boss that has to be defeated by throwing Bob-ombs at it.

Galaxy Burger Galaxy.

And it has Galaxy Burger restaurants EVERYWHERE.
 
Bob-Omb Galaxy

It's a planet that's a bob-omb and it blows up
 
Donkey Kong Jr. Math Galaxy

A galaxy based on Donkey Kong Jr. Math. Mario has to beat both Juniors in a mathalon to get the power star.
 
Mayhem Galaxy

A galaxy where each planet has a puzzle required to solve before entering the next one in a timed Boss-Rush like setting.

To build on this, each planet is timed and blows up if you don't leave it fast enough.

Another Throwback Galaxy, but with Tall Tall Mountain instead of Whomp's Fortress. The first star would be climbing the mountain like SM64, the second a Silver Stars mission, and the third a hidden star from a Hungry Luma. Each of those would have its Green Star.
 
Mario Fortress Galaxy - A callback to Mario Zone from Super Mario Land 2, One of the stars involves you piloting Mario Zone like a mech and fighting off Mecha Bowser. You also encounter Mini Marios from the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series as NPCs.

Pinball Mayhem Galaxy - Basically one of those star ball rolling missions, but on a pinball table instead. You control the flippers and must rack up a certain number of points in order to get Mario and the ball to the goal. The galaxy's theme is a remix of Waluigi's Pinball.

Dying Core Galaxy - A HUGE space facility with a nuclear core, one of the missions involves said core exploding causing a huge insta-death wave to chase Mario and he must hightail it to the goal.

Black Hole's Wrath - The stage opens with Mario storming one of Bowser's air ships only for Jr. to appear and blast Mario into a nearby black hole, however thankfully the black hole is also drawing in stuff like meteors and chunks of terrain for Mario to platform on and allow him to escape.
 
Sky Belt Galaxy - A conveyer belt type galaxy, in a sky area. The galaxy has constant production of mechanical enemies. At a certain point, you'd have to grab a Cloud Flower, then you can flip a lever stopping production. Then you can get the Star.
