still doing the one game per series thing otherwise MGS5, Mario Kart Wii, Super Mario Bros 3, Twilight Princess, Skyward Sword, the other danganronpa games, and probably Bravely Default would be up there. also honorable mentions to Celeste, Doki Doki Literature Club, Civ 5, Read Dead Redemption 2, and the Monster Hunter series as a whole as well as the og Ace Attorney trilogy

Alright, won't be much variety in this list, but here goes anyway:

3. Super Mario Odyssey
4. Super Mario Galaxy 2
5. Super Mario Galaxy 1
6. Kirby's Return to Dream Land
7. Super Mario 3D World
8. Kirby Super Star
9. Kirby Air Ride
10. Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards

Order is pretty rough and you could put these in virtually any order; I love all of these to death. Star Allies is really the only one with an accurate placement.

I'm putting 999 back into .5 because I'm back to thinking it's not really a game, it's just a visual novel with some basic puzzles so that it qualifies as a game. I decided that Woolly World was just too good for it to not be top 3, Luigi's Mansion 3 would be there otherwise. Slapped an Etrian Odyssey game in there, the only reason I didn't before was because I couldn't decide which one was the best. After playing all of them I've decided that EO2U was the one that felt the most complete, Nexus has the most content but I haven't finished it.

I felt like it was hard to create a top 10 years ago not because there were too many games but because I couldn't find ten games that I felt like were worth highlighting in this kind of list, like a game has to be 95+/100 good for me to really consider it.
 
1-3. Banjo-Kazooie, Sonic Mania, Rayman Legends
4. Chrono Trigger
5-6. Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
7-8. Hollow Knight, Super Mario Odyssey
9. Mario Kart Wii

I'd say there's a large gap between Mario Kart Wii, and any game I'd rank below it. If I had to choose a game to be number 10, then it would probably by Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fuelled or Super Mario World.
 
Yeah for me, it's after Galaxy 2 that the list really starts to go downhill. That's not to say I don't love 3D World, I do, just, Galaxy 2 and upwards is phenomenal imo

4- Fire Emblem: Binding Blade OR Sacred Stones
5- CastleVania: Harmony of Dissonance
6- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild
7- Shovel Knight Treasure Trove
8- New Super Mario Bros Wii
9- Super Smash Bros Ultimate
10- Any Wii game where you play as the Miis. Those shaped my entire childhood.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is probably getting a spot as well after I finish it, with the strong first impression it's given me so far. Anyway, hey, here's my list.
