Mario Sports Superstars

Some kind of victory pose before the trophy appearing on-screen akin to Mario Kart would be good enough for me.
 
I say Tennis Open's victory pose is a step above Mario Kart's celebrations but not as good as Power Tennis/64.

In Mario Tennis Open, Baby Mario's animation for getting the Special Tournament trophy is fun to watch.

Also, he and Baby Peach (and possibly Boo and Luma) are probably the only characters that don't carry their trophies in their celebrations because they're too small for them.

Also, they reused Baby Mario and Baby Luigi's Super Sluggers/that sitting artwork of them. In Tennis and Golf. Where that's the worst sport to reuse that artwork in because it requires equipment.

Also Rosalina cards are in first , but in the last row of each color. Next to Metal Mario.
 
The roster was already good anyway, it made sense adding two iconic powerup characters (the first since Mario Golf, the second... well was much talked about for sure!) as at this point it's clear that the developers couldn't have added more characters in their place.

Now waiting for Wendy at the Olympic Winter Games...

But if it IS Pink Gold Peach, Nathaniel Bandy is going to rage so hard...
 
It's so small that I can't even notice a single damn thing. I'll wait for a high res picture.

I just zoomed the crap out of that image in MS Paint.
 
If PGP is playable, then her type would be power (then roster would be unbalanced for the captains).

Her artworks are reused, recoloured artworks of regular Peach in sports wear.
 
Metal Mario already tipped this balance a bit, so it is somewhat of a surprise we're getting another metal character.
 
I can't see the metal characters being anything but Power type. So that means, we are going to get 6 power characters.

Well it's as I figured. Horse racing seems to be the most detailed sport of the bunch.
