I believe that we all were caught off guard on that angle; I only hope that when we get closer to release day for this installment, the new art assets themselves that we've seen so far on those cards will be ours for the taking (definitely keeping fingers crossed in the case of Rosalina; and maybe Pink Gold Peach).
 
I saw them coming, because the main menu was one of the first things revealed and an "amiibo card" tab was among the main menu options.

Baby Luigi sounds a lot different these days.
 
It's his voice from Mario Kart 8. He sounds a bit higher pitched in that game compared to previous installments.

Unlike Swiftie and her favorite character however, I'm not particularly bothered by his current voice. I do prefer his Mario Kart Wii voice but I think he's still very very very enjoyable to be in Mario Kart 8.
 
Ah, that explains why I've never heard it before.

I still don't really get the death stare meme at all. Luigi has already done a face like that in games prior to Mario Kart 8, such as Mario Kart Wii and the aforementioned Strikers Charged, plus I've seen characters do even angrier facial expressions in Strikers games. It isn't anything new, and it shouldn't be attributed to Mario Kart 8.
 
It's the stare combined with the car and THEY SEE ME ROLLIN that makes the meme.
 
But Mario Kart Wii has a similarly angry Luigi AND cars.
 
but it didn't have Mario Kart tv thus actually seeing it in the meme's context was very difficult.
 
Well I can't really complain when the meme has gotten me comics about Baby Luigi doing an even worse death stare than Luigi.

I tagged Rosalina's specifically because it's a mess.

Literally a mess. You can hear Laura first and then there comes Kerri's voice ''Whooo Yey'' im extremely dissapointed. This is horrible.

And now we can finally tell MM and PGP were added due time constraints i guess since they share Mario's and Peach's animations.

I'm a bit pissed about this because they literally filtered Mario's and Peach's voice from this game , instead of using the actual clips from Metal Mario and PGP like in MK8.

Looks like i need to voice mod the hell out of this mess , not just Rosalina.

Everybody sounds like a mess. Daisy has horrible sounds in football and you can tell when Bowser switches between Scott Burns and Kenny James.

What the hell is this...
 
Boo, Metal Mario, and Pink Gold Peach all sound awful. Jesus
