Mario proves why he needs his hat.

The irony of this story is that Peach has her parasol to protect her from the sun. Without it, she'll probably know how Mario feels when he doesn't have his hat.

If only she were there to see Mario literally get bored to death...

Do we ever see this cape anywhere? Does Bowser only wear it in this artwork (that is, the artwork this piece is based on)?
Actually, beside the Amada anime series (in two episodes he has a cape), there is also this:

You know, I've had a similar feeling in Smash Bros.. Bowser changes into Giga Bowser, but his opponents are invincible, pretty much rendering his attacks ineffective against them.

In fact, a comic from Brawl in the Family showcases this dilemma...

Being metal is better than being bigger, really. When you're big, you're also an easier target.

On the other hand, giant characters pack an even greater punch than metal characters. The damage multiplier seems to be around 1.5625x for giant characters, and that's definitely worth acquiring a Super Mushroom.

Being metal only really makes you heavier and more resilient against attacks, so it's not exactly strengthening your offensive power. In fact, metal characters are at a disadvantage in that they fall at a much faster speed, and their flinch resistance is negated by grabs.

Simply put, while metal characters may have better endurance, giant characters can build up damage at a faster rate, which can turn a metal character's strength into a weakness.

Don't forget, Marth and Roy only speak Japanese. So imagine not being able to understand a thing either of them is saying while you re-read that comic.

From browsing this topic, I'm surprised that nobody brought up the Waluigi portrayal from Brawl in the Family. It's easily one of the most notable Mario Fanart!
