It's actually the other way around: Luigi's Mansion takes the Mario render from Mario Golf. Luigi's Mansion in general has the oddity where some models are clearly based on the Nintendo 64 era (Luigi's in-game model) and some are modern (Mario's in-game model and Luigi's official render)

I love the different styles shown here, but my two favorites are Koopa (pencil sketches! :D ) and Yoshi (the style is similar to some of the Yoshi games and that is very cool).
