I'll never really understand why Yoshi would turn against Mario, just because Mario temporarily utilized a carnivorous dinosaur (who will attack Mario upon seeing him) to get through obstacles that even Yoshi wouldn't be able to handle.

And before anyone asks, Yoshi also eats fruits, making him an omnivore.

If you ask for my opinion? I think the joke is that Mario and Luigi have unusual fantasies, with Mario having a fascination of wearing a raccoon suit (this comic was published close to Super Mario 3D Land), while Luigi fancies himself as being the first player because he's often saddled as a second player.

I wish the artist didn't resort to Ride to Hell Retribution-flavored sexism to get the joke across, because that's not how you conflate a sane person with a seemingly crazy partner.

The odd part about this image is that Big Bob-omb is discarding a bomb in a 4-player game. Last I've checked, he only does that in a 2-player game.
