I always thought of music and soundtracks as the same thing but alright. The MK8 soundtrack in its entirety is pretty dope.

I'm assuming this thread talks about original soundtracks because it's kinda unfair to have games that use licensed music compare against games that have original soundtracks.

Also Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove and VVVVVV have astounding indie game soundtracks.

As for bigger games, Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 will always have some of the best orchestration of any video game.
