Well, it's the biggest frustration I personally got to on my own and experienced. I watched LPs of the game and saw a lot of BS that's required too. Like the watermelon thing, the shadow boss at Sirena Beach (i think I remember attempting that mission because the later missions of that stage actually seemed interesting. But it just divides into more smaller targets and it just ended up taking forever to find them iirc), the Chuckster level. Some of these things apparently rival the Pachinko Machine in terms of bullshit, and that's terrifying. The other 3D Mario games had their share of hard levels, but they functioned properly and weren't shots in the dark, also they weren't required to get to Bowser (very few missions were, it was just the number of Stars, not certain missions. Being able to save the BS for after story completion is a thing that I really appreciate)
 
Toxic lily pad mainly because of the Yoshi bs before it. Need to learn some of the speedrunning strats.

Panchiko Machine is pretty annoying but going in there with the hover nozzle mitigates it a little bit.

The blue coins were super lame, I never got the full 120 stars because I still had a bunch of them to get and had no idea where to look.
 
pachinko machine aint shit i did that in one sitting when i was a kid
yoshi's fruit adventure took me 11 years
still havent done the balloon shooting one

Actually did that in one try (watermelon festival?). I think it was a miracle because the watermelon didn't break when I accidentally mispositioned it and it fell off, and I already killed most, if not Cataquacks beforehand, at least on the lowest tier.
