Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

If Young Link gets an original final smash (not Triforce Slash) it's almost certainly going to be Fierce Deity, but I'd be much more hype about a final smash involving the moon crashing down, although that seems more like a Skull Kid thing.

Still can't believe Toon Link has that trash FS though.

A potential City Trial stage? Either way, cool to see some more variety in terms of Kirby music.

If there's a City Trial stage, someone please hold me.

A City Trial stage will be complete if it has hazards. And have the boxes spawn as blue, red, green too while we're at it. My dream since Brawl.

I don't get the idea of unlocking 50+ characters and starting with only 12, it is kind of crazy.

Coming back to unlocking characters, I think the unlock formula should be:

Start with originals from Smash 1, then unlocks from Smash 1, then newcomers from Melee, then new unlocks from Melee, newcomers from Brawl, etc.

New leak right off of 4chan

I highly doubt that this leak is realistic, but the fact that it's a guessing game makes it far more fun:
OK Kiddies, see if you can figure this one out.

July: The characters “King” and “Ponytail” will be revealed in a mini direct

August: The character “Old Man” will be revealed at years EVO

September: The character “Archer” will be revealed in a direct of some kind

October: The Characters “Warrior” & “Secretary” will be revealed in a Smash Ultimate focused Direct.

November: The character “Mech” will be revealed in a surprise character announcement

The other characters: The Characters “Rhythm” “Folklore” “Doll” and “Prime Ribs” won’t get reveal trailers until post release.

Predictions while I'm here:

-King is K. Rool and Ponytail is Dixie
-Old Man is Heihachi from Tekken, given the reveal being at EVO
-Archer is Decidueye
-Warrior is a little up in the air. Simon Belmont could fit this, but I could also see Chrom as an Ike Echo revealed.
-Secretary is... Maybe Isabelle?
-Mech's popular choice is Elma from Xenoblade Chronicles X, but I'm going to go completely left field and say Robot Kit, based on the Nintendo LABO.
EDIT: Another strong possibility I just realized is the reveal of Chibi-Robo
-Rhythm is Rhythm Heaven rep, either Chorus Kids or Karate Joe.
-Folklore is Okami
-Doll is Geno
-Prime Ribs is a Metroid Prime rep, likely Dark Samus

Pretty sure there will be multiple ways to unlock characters. And probably ways to unlock the ones you really want most faster then the others. Would be kind of a pain if it took that long to get Ridley and the Inklings.

Yeah, something about seeing all Smash fighters one after another with no exceptions is just so damn satisfying.

You know, with Ganondorf having his OoT design, it's a shame Phantom Ganon isn't a palette swap.

Speaking of Zelda, I saw someone suggest that the new Codec/Guidance for this game should be the four BOTW champions providing commentary when Link taunts on the Great Plateau Tower. Obviously Link wouldn't converse, it would juts be one of them commenting and giving Link info, or maybe multiple champions talking about single character. Imagine Revali talking about Falco, or Urbosa's thoughts on Ganondorf. Or hell, just random stuff like Mipha talking about R.O.B.

I think that they would have unlocks with every ten vs. battles in vs. mode like in Brawl and Smash 4. It would be cool if you can scan an Amiibo of the character to unlock them skipping the battle. If the battle cannot be avoided, I think that they will make it easier to unlock all the characters, as in previous games, every character you battle to unlock them gets harder and I think that they will make the battles easier to unlock them easier.

Eh, every character battle for unlocking them was pretty easy so it's not a big deal if I had to battle them or not.

I hope this game will go back to being T for Teen than E10. In fact adding Bayonetta in the last game as DLC kind of made the E10 rating futile.

I don't understand why you hope for a game age rating to change...

Rayman Origins had those fairies, and that was rated E10+ so Bayonetta's not going to change the rating.

The newest Smash Blog update highlights the best character, Marth, looking good as ever.

This has been my public service announcement.

It's not "ina" or "as"

It's "ario"

Wow three characters that start with luc.
