Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

I'm wondering, is this just the start of new content with new spirits, building to a new announcement of something new?
 
Man it's taking a while for the fourth wave of the new spirits! Maybe they're planning something big?
 
Finally new spirits, and I knew they'd be Mario themed! I'm kinda disappointed that there's no Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope spirit…
 
While I was on my trip, I came up with a custom way to fight.

Stage: Boxing Ring
Smash Type: 300HP - 1 Stock - ∞ Time - No items but Smash Ball - No FS meter
How it works: At the start of the match, everyone clears out the ring until the back screen brings up a fight, persay Mario vs Wario. Those two get into the ring and brawl it out until the next fight shows up. If the scredn shows a KO'd fighter(s), the fighter(s) with the most health go in. You may only get and use Final Smashes in the ring. No fighting in the audience is permitted. Whenever two fighters remain, its a final duke-it-out until someone wins. It is rarer to fight the more characters there are, and characters that have moves that charge over time (such as Wario's Waft) are OP because they will charge automatically. Also, you may not charge moves or heal outside the ring. This is a lot of fun, so try it out with some buddies.

The new Smash Ultimate tier list came out and Jigglypuff is ranked several spots below Kirby...I was happy about there finally being another Smash game besides Melee where Jigglypuff is clearly better than Kirby...Screw that overrated character

On the plus side, Wii Fit Trainer is on the rise.

Yuck, Luigi is rising a lot...I will not forgive Sakurai deciding to leave him with his zero-to-death grab combos intact...

That ding dong Donkey Kong is on the rise...I guess it was true that there's been a DK renaissance... 🙄
 
Can't care too much about tierlists because how I play the game fundamentally differs (I play with items on, 8 player smash, with stage morph, and in all stages) and the way the competitive scene plays the game is by no means the "correct" way to play the game.

Honestly agree with this. I like variety when I play Smash, even beyond the characters. People say, "I love playing Smash Bros." and then proceed to rotate between three characters in Final Destination with no items or Final Smash. IMHO it's like going to a fancy restaurant and ordering chicken nuggets every time (it's not bad, but there's a lot of other options in the game for a reason - the stages alone are a lot of fun to mess around in).
 
When I play Smash Ultimate when I get my Nintendo Switch 2 I'm going to fight as every single in-game and DLC character at least once.
 
Yes, I know that the tier list does not apply to me because I am not a player of that skill level and I am just a casual who plays 8 player Smash battles with items on and a wacky ruleset on stages like 75m...

But I still like to (somewhat) pay attention to the competitive scene and care about how well my favorites are doing at the competitive level...

I want to wish good luck to any competitive players out there that main any of my favorites...I sincerely hope that they can achieve good/better results and hopefully help these characters rank better...players such as:

BassMage for Jigglypuff
Marss for Zero Suit
Big D for Icies
varun and John Numbers for Wii Fit
Lima for Bayonetta
ESAM for Pikachu (seriously please don't drop him for Mii Brawler, yuck)
Isabelle and Inkling mains

There might be more but those are the Smashers who I know the best.

Also, if Luigi mains could stop putting in so much work with the character and stop winning tournaments so that he can fall 10 or more spots, that would be great, thanks

I don't think it's likely this will happen but I really hope Sora will be in next Smash because I love Disney and I love Final Fantasy and I love Kingdom Hearts. Probably wishful thinking though.
 
Honestly they should make Waluigi playable. Him and Toad are long requested characters.
 
I wouldn't mind having another punching bag. Him, Wario, and Daisy go together like bread, butter, and jam. They're the perfect trio; the three stooges. Having Wario and Daisy on the rival team in Ultimate without Waluigi feels like something is missing...and none of the rest of the cast compliments or really fits their team.
 
Well I put Donkey Kong on their team too, usually the bad guy team is like Wario, Waluigi, Donkey Kong, and Ganondorf.
