Super Mario Party

Animations always looked so stilted and I always hated that "walk in place as they turn" thing they always did.
 
New renders are always nice.

Yoshi does not have a new pose though. They've used that same stupid pose for the past 6 years or something. I can't stand it.

Oh well, I always have Ultimate artwork to be happy about.

Fits Yoshi as he got his same stupid voice for the past 20 years plus some 10-year old same stupid voices plus maybe some new constipated ones.

That was extremely disappointing I was sooo hoping that was new offical art.
 
Well, Toadette has a new official art from the boxart. And Toad has a render from MP10, with a bowtie.

There's also a new Koopa Troopa art.
 
Man what did those two do to deserve that? It's already bad enough they're not playable.
 
well that part can be accurate because originally Toad was the host in the N64 games.

They should just have kept Blue Toad as the host tbh. I don't know why they didn't do this considering that's all they did in 9 and 10.

Or they could stop being lazy and create a host. The thing Hudson did that Nd Cube has never done is having an actual host exclusive to the games , they created the Millenium star, MC Ballyhoo, Brighton and Twila and took the Star spirits from Paper Mario.

ND Cube apparently isn't creative enough to not only put WTF characters in the roster instead of bringing Birdo back but also they just decide to make X character NPC so they can host or be background.

Yeah, I figured.

Though it's kinda weird they're not playable here, it doesn't affect me that much. It's kinda like how Shovel Knight showed up as an assist trophy in Smash and I was like "well it's cool he appears at all!"

TG on the other hand...
 
It is odd, after all they have Toadsworth patiently waiting to be used in a significant way in something that isn't a remake and he'd fit perfectly as a host in this game.
 
I guess it's just that, like other people already pointed out, it's supposed to be a callback of how Toad was the OG host of Mario Party. If that's what they were going for, then it makes sense to put just Toad as host to me.

I don't see why Toadette should be the secondary hostess, though. It was pretty unnecessary.
 
Well yeah but Toadsworth didn't exist then. And Toad's been a consistent playable character since MP5 with few exceptions so I'd say that takes priority for him. And hey, if he's playable I can not pick him and enjoy him not being in my games, since I have no irl friends to pick him either. Toadette would be a nice addition to the roster.

How are Nintendo so incompetent, that they can't just make him say one of his iconic catchphrases such as, "Let's-a-go!"?

Why not "I've-a got it! We'll throw a Mario Party to fill the Star Bank!"

if we can callback to the original we can callback to that one too, why not all of them

Well to be fair, she already has a new render of her on a balloon so at least we got something.

Also, I hate her status of a host but she looks really adorable wearing that bowtie <3
 

River mode gameplay.

it has Rosalina, Waluigi and Monty Mole.

it has better sound that the other previews.

PS. I like the detail they made here, if someone doesn't do the high five thingy the other characters will look at him/her with disgust lol ironicaly in this video it was Waluigi's fault.

Well they failed in doing that because Bowser was the unplayable antagonist in MP1 and yet he's suddenly playable now.

They could have used Toadsworth or another color of Toad like MP9 and 10, so not letting you play as Toad or Toadette was a pretty dumb decision.
