Well, several months later, here's the one of Chroma Key that Long John Spaghetti asked for. Sorry it's been quite so delayed, unfortunately you managed to ask at the same time as a bunch of other stuff came up and I've only recently been able to clear up most of the backlog.

Just thought I'd throw in a quick update as I made some art for the community gallery in the 'Shroom, I'm sure plenty of you have seen it already, but if not, go and check out this month's issue of the 'Shroom in general, and here is the art in question anyway.

And while I'm here, here's just a quick picture of Rosalina I did the other day. Just an idea I've been meaning to get around to for a while.

What a surprise, it's another overdue update to my art thread :P
Anyway, with this being so overdue, there's a lot to cover! First of all, I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who voted for me in the community awards- especially for favourite artist and second place in favourite 2021 awards presentation! I wasn't around to say it on the night, but I definitely wanted to say that somewhere, thank you so much! :D

And continuing on the topic of the awards, there's my presentation from this year. I'm sure most of you have seen it by now anyway (And if not, go and check out the awards- never too late!), but here it is. I've included some extra thoughts too.
So this idea had to be changed last minute as I was dealing with a lot of real-life stuff at the time and couldn't go for the big plan that I had in mind. I came up with the replacement idea after I had just bought a cup covered in Mario Kart sponsors- most people'll know that I like them anyway, but that gave me the idea to make sponsors for the bosses. Was hoping to get more done but I was really up against the clock on this one. I'll quickly go over the things I referenced in each in case there's anything you didn't catch.

So the wording in this one is based on the word "World" in the Super Mario 3D World logo, but with Meowser's colour scheme. The silhouette is then based on Bowser Land/World Bowser (hence the name) in the game.

Pretty simple, Odyssey's themed around hats and so is the Odyssey Bowser sponsor. Hope you like the terrible pun.

BOWSA is another horrible pun, this time based on NASA (I did struggle to find something to fit the acronym, hence why I used "Out-of-this-world". It's serviceable.). Design is then based on the Bowser fights from Galaxy and the layout... well, funny story, that was meant to also be based on the NASA logo, but I forgot what it looked like... as a matter of fact, I mixed it up with the classic Lego Space one! But the NASA one wouldn't fit the design I really wanted, so I just used the Lego Space-inspired one instead. :P

Nothing really to write home about here. I just thought it would be a cool design.

And the logo here is based on the Bowser's Fury one, Magic Paintbrush on the right and Fury Bowser's face in the paint. Nothing much else going on.

Still keeping loosely with the awards, things are getting a little more back to normal for me now, so I've had time to start on the user art for the missing ones from the sign-ups I'm yet to use this year. Here's InsaneBlathers, Waluigi Time and Popopo.

More or less, yeah. This specifially is a continuation of something I started last year after the awards for a bit of fun really, and it means I have a handy bank of reference pictures for users should I need them.

In that case, it was just because of that specific thing, just something wasn't sitting right with me at all with that one and I haven't the slightest idea why. It doesn't just have to be user character-type things, though.
