Dr. Mario World

I'm kinda surprised Line hasn't add any of their mascots to the game yet, I wouldn't like them till we get all the Mario mainlines (Birdo, Pauline, Dixie, King Boo, Dry Bones, E. Gadd, rest of the Koopalings, Chain Chomp, Boom Boom, Pom Pom, Petey, Cappy, Tiara, Broodals, Peachette) but I wouldn't mind them, I watch their shorts and animes and they're fun enough chracters, Jessica is my favorite

Line does a lot of collabs in general, in the past they did ones with Sonic and Disney, that would be neat
At very least, add him and his friends

Personally I thought Dolphin is a much more inspired addition compared to Goomba Tower, and I thought that Koopa Troopa is an addition I liked over Goomba Tower. It's also probably going to be good in VS because it's a 4-line attacker that's relatively fast (even with somewhat low defences).

Turns out there's no update necessary for the new world and doctors, which means I don't need to worry about the levels changing layouts. As I have beaten World 13's challenges with 3 stars each, I felt that I am in the clear when it comes to getting Dr. Fire Luigi unlocked. Since I have obtained all the Stars necessary to get all the rewards, I can continue taking pictures of levels in World 11. World 13 is in the cards but I didn't manage to take the first half, so I will deal with that when I completed that World.

At this point, I felt that I am stably in Tier 8. This is good, because it can get tiring to see the rank down/rank up screen every time I didn't make it. I suppose making it to that point is not bad because I am fairly behind in terms of doctors/assistants, given how the best assistants are not at Level 3 (except maybe Banzai Bill, which has a chance of attacking with an extra row when attacking). On the doctor front, Dr. Mario has thus far been a huge help in my VS progress but too bad I don't have Dr. Fire Mario. We shall see if fortunes are better for me in the drawing pool this time.

We now know Dr. Koopa Troopa and Dr. Dolphin's skills, which provide a fraction of clearance compared to Dr. Wendy and Dr. Bowser Jr. respectively (3 vs 10) for far less, but let me tell you: it makes a huge difference. Their skills charge so far that they are arguably far more useful in certain levels compared to the originals, and if there is a way to make the skill metre fill fast, these guys actually outpace Wendy/Bowser Jr.. I still haven't got Dr. Dolphin, but I hope to get this one because its VS has some potential, being a 4-line attacker with a relatively fast attack rate.

I've obtained a couple of new doctors, which are both the ones I want. However, I still want to have Dr. Wario in my collection. In fact, getting new doctors seem to be kind of slow as of now, since Dr. Fire Mario is the only one I drew from regular staffing since the new doctors were added (I got Dr. Koopa Troopa and Dr. Dolphin from Doc staffing).

In terms of assistants, I was lucky to have a few more new ones, and two of the ones I don't have can be obtained in stage mode although I would prefer to have one in my collection so that they are at least Level 2, which is the case for Penguin. There are two level ups that I do like, namely the Spiny Cheep Cheep and the Parabomb. Peepa becomes the first Level 3 score enhancer, which I will definitely be using in levels with sufficient green viruses. I would still need to get Spiny and Crowber because they have some nice abilities, along with Shy Guy because his skill is really good when combined with Banzai Bill (they do the same thing in Stage mode).

I am kind of slow with stage mode because I am waiting for the Flying ? Boxes event to motivate myself to move forward, so in the mean time I will take snapshots of World 6.

You might notice that my progress is a bit haphazard, which is the result of chasing flying Question Blocks to potentially get more rewards, with the intention of beating the levels properly later. Unfortunately, this meant that some levels are more difficult to get 3 stars later on due to no extra capsule handicaps, but since these are not challenge stages which are bound by a countdown, I don't have as much pressure on getting it right.

As for my pulls, I didn't get a number of wanted doctors or assistants (namely Wario), but I did get Nabbit, which is one of the doctors that I really, really wanted, and it's one that probably will be outside the drawing pool on the next rotation so it's fortunate that I got him. Donkey Kong is another surprise but a welcome one nonetheless.

Thank you for reading.

Holy hell this one's actually surprising. Why are the shoes not pointy tho

You think we'll get official Baby Waluigi?

According to the tweet, Dr. Baby Wario is the only new doctor this round. Unfortunate, because I would have loved to see Dr. Baby Waluigi have another unorthodox debut similar to how Waluigi debut in a Tennis game (the only regular character to have such a debut). I wonder what his skill will be. Either it will be mini Wario (+capsules/time but in smaller quantities) or have a convenient way to earn money (or something else I didn't think of).

Thank you for reading.

Thanks I hate it

I initially thought that Dr. Lemmy would be revealed, when they posted a the new carnival world.

According to the tweet, Dr. Baby Wario is the only new doctor this round.

Thank you for reading.
We'll see if they would reveal new doctors via datamine (of course it would be spoilers if it's the case). Maybe the rest of the Koopalings.

I like it.

Based on the video, Dr. Baby Wario's stage mode skill is to collect coins at a targeted location, basically similar to how Donkey Kong's skill controls. In case you aren't aware, when you activate Donkey Kong's skill, a crosshair will move around the stage automatically, and you have to tap it at the designated location to activate it. It's like that, but it collects coins, even the ones in the background.

The VS mode skill is to put coins on the opponent's board, which is going to be annoying no doubt, but maybe not as bad as Larry's and Roy's. Baby Wario's defences are 40%-40%-15%-5%, and sends 1 line of viruses against opponents.

The assistant this time around is Yellow Shy Guy, which has an effect that would no doubt inspire future ones: it clears all yellow viruses if it's the only type of virus left, and at level 1, there's a 20% chance of activation and maybe at higher levels you multiply that by that level (so for example, level 3 has a 60% chance of activating). In VS it has a pretty high chance of defending against 1-line attacks, at 30% on level 1. This will be useful against the likes of Lakitu, Koopa Troopa and Peach, but the most popular doctors in VS are level 2, such as Mario and Fire Mario.

Thank you for reading.

Datamine has an interesting doctor revealed for the next round (image not yet discovered):

8-bit Dr. Mario

Yes, this is another Mario. Will this version of Mario be considered a distinct Mario, like how Dr. Mario, Metal Mario and Baby Mario are treated?

Thank you for reading.

Yes we need more characters that are rigged to only one bone.

Why not a literal Dr Bone then?
