It's finally that time of the year, and to celebrate it, we're doing our first second third fourth fifth sixth seventh ever Secret Santa! This is an event where you can sign up to give and receive presents from other forum members.

Please carefully read the rules before signing up, as failure to follow them may get you banned from participating in potential future Secret Santas!

No bans this year because you guys made up whatever you did to me sometime within the last year

  • Signups start from the moment this thread is opened and close on December 15th, 2019, 9:00 PM EST. Once signed up, please remember that while you will get a gift, you are also expected to give one! Neglecting to do this without giving a good reason is highly frowned upon and will likely get you barred from entering any future Secret Santas. Please make sure you will have enough time to make/get a gift before signing up.
  • After signups have closed, you will be PMed the name of a person who has also signed up. They will be the one to receive your gift. You can post your interests in the thread to help other people think of a gift for you. Good ideas for gifts include self-made artwork, self-made music, a short self-made game, a Steam game, and similar things.
    Note: if you plan to spend money on the event, in order to make sure everyone gets fair gifts, a recommended price range is $5-$10. Sending Steam games only to people you know have Steam accounts may be a good idea, as it ensures people can use the gift they receive.
  • The deadline for sending in your gift is January 9th, 2020, 11:59 PM ET. If your gift is not a Steam game, please send your gift to me by PMing a link to me. Steam games must be sent directly, and I will offer more leeway on doing so due to the Christmas sale; if you do this, please just give me a heads up that you've sent off your gift. I will distribute the forum gifts within the 25th - 9th if you send them to me.

I like artwork of my character (though I'm tweaking its design, so I'd like to know if this is the direction my Santa wants to go so I can provide details), artwork of Mario characters (if you don't know which characters I like, my userpage should help with that) or I'd also love something like The Brave Little Toaster. I'll gladly accept gift cards (for general stores like Amazon or Walmart, or restaurants like McDonalds, Wendy's, TGI Friday's, i'll love you forever if you get Friday's :birdo:) but I'd rather not have any physical gifts.

A drawing of my characters or Baby Luigi is the cheapest option for me (my userpage and user profile is where you can find a reference picture). You don't have to be particularly amazing at drawing or anything, it's the thought that counts!

I do like Steam video games. Series I like are Sonic (the only Sonic game I own is Adventure 2 and Racing Transformed), good Russian-themed video games (such as STALKER), good indie platformers or other cartoony platformers, shooting games with a strong single player (such as Singularity), etc.

Gift cards work too. Steam, McDonalds, In-n-Out, Chick-fil-A, Target, Walmart, Best Buy, and Amazon are all common places I shop at.
 
Can I sign up please? I'd prefer artwork (That's likely what I'll be giving as a gift anyway) as I don't have a Steam account or anything like that. My main interests are, surprisingly enough, Mario, but more specifically I like the main female characters, and I also like classic Disney stuff too.

I don't use Steam very much. eShop credits or an art of one of my Power Master characters works :)

you shouldnt feel bad about 2015 because ive definitely forgiven you for it and its become more of an injoke divorced from you as a person but i understand if youre embarrassed and also cant sign up from being busy so i hope you sign up when you do have time next year or whenever
 
I'm more just embarrassed even though it's now been four years. Not to mention I'm an awful artist, I don't have Steam (and my computer is too weak for it), and I can't pay for anything right now so I'll just try for next year.

Lately my main interest has been Fire Emblem, especially the worlds of Fire Emblem: Three Houses (Fódlan) and Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones (Magvel) but I'm also still interested in Love Live (mainly μ's and not Aqours) and Puella Magi Madoka Magica a bit. From those series some of my favorite characters are Bernadetta, Umi, Yohane, and Sayaka. I'm interested in strategy/simulation games in general as well as visual novels, and my Steam account is here. I use Mac OS though and my computer is somewhat old, so I can't run anything that's especially graphically intensive or Windows-only unless it's an older game that I could feasibly play in WINE. I certainly wouldn't turn down a Steam game but I'd be a little more interested in art or fanfiction (or a nendo if I get you as my santa and you decide to give people figures again this year tfp).

its been an entire day and im unglued from other things long enough to say that sign ups are closed, i will get the list out soon and extend the deadline as needed if it takes a while

Just a reminder that you have roughly ~4.5 days left to submit without an extension, I do have most gifts in and will be distributing them later on (likely Wednesday) for those who have both sent and received things. I would prefer to not have to give out extensions this year personally, but I'll be willing to hear individual cases as I know schedule and life issues do come up
