Trent usually cracks a bad joke, while Adam... doesn't. I don't really know what he does, to be honest.

Dark Light would attempt to cheer up but would likely just end up making things worse.
Redshift would probably apologize.
Ray Trace would crack jokes and self-deprecating humor.
Bluminescence wouldn emphasize on the positive aspects.
Ultra Violet would probably say, could be worse.
Kontrast would probably get angry at whoever made the person upset.

Mija- Not old enough, used to drink though (High tolerance, can chug a whole bottle of vodka and be fine)
Cthina- Technically old enough, but doesn't drink (Very low tolerance)
Boba- Not old enough (Average tolerance)
Monnu- Can't drink alcohol, but will drink certain types of nectar with similar effects (Average tolerance)
Thorrim- Can't drink alcohol, and doesn't drink nectar like it (Low tolerance)

Melon- High tolerance, but drinks small things
Edgy Mija- Same as Mija

Dark Light: Any negative emotions outside of anger for her are suppressed, so she usually internalizes it. Anger however, she easily expresses that and isn't afraid to lash out.
Redshift: He's very soft and he doesn't like expressing anger, but he can get annoyed and he does get infuriated if someone seriously damages people he likes. He's not the person who would sob or cry, or yell and scream. He'd be the type of person who'd keep a diary and write how he feels down to deal with negative emotions.
Ray Trace: Ray Trace does not deal with negative emotions well at all, especially fury and depression, since he rarely experiences them and if he does, he'll angrily lash out or have depressive episodes. Ray Trace can be very cruel when he's extremely angry or very desolate when he's depressed, though it's difficult for him to get into those states in the first place because he's otherwise carefree and playful.
Bluminescence: He does not get angry (though he can be stern asserting his authority when needed to be): rather he gets sad if he feels hurt by someone, and he gets very sad if someone does not get along with him. He's a child at heart, and he'd cry himself out if he gets sad.
Ultra Violet: A lot of emotions of his are repressed like Dark Light, but unlike her, anger is also more repressed and more subtle. If he was angry, he'd snidely quip at them for the most part, even if he threatens to kill them if they escalate way too far. He does not get sad often at all: most of his sad feelings are locked away, though it is possible his snide personality comes from him being sad.
Kontrast: He does not get sad often: rather he is hot-headed and he gets very angry instead. He throws temper tantrums easily and he gets infuriated easily, but if he can exercise while angry, he'd do so as well. He likes punching on punching bags or lifting weights while angry.

Aside from being a team who rely on each other to support and be friends with, in the Protectors, only Dark Light and Redshift are a confirmed pair. In my extended cast I do have more relationships (such as Blueshift being Redshift's sister) but in the main six Protectors, these are the only two who have taken their relationship further than friends.

Dark Light: No. You're sentient enough to go to a grocery store and buy chicken rather than contributing to the decay of our natural ecosystem and you have your own agency so I can talk to you properly.

Dark Light: She doesn't tolerate it well at all, as she doesn't drink; she likely has the worst tolerance of it in the group. One small glass of a light beer is enough to get her tipsy. Of course, diminutives have generally lesser tolerance of alcohol due to their size, though their Protector abilities protect against impairment somewhat, but not for Dark Light's case. She also has some female physiology in her that contributes to her getting knocked out worse than the others.
Redshift: Has better tolerance than Dark Light: half a glass of wine will get him tipsy. He does not drink, however: he does not like the decrease sense of control over himself.
Ray Trace: Has the best tolerance for alcohol in the group, most likely due to his size, and he enjoys drinking in celebratory occasions such as birthday parties, New Years, and other ceremonies. Three shots of vodka gets him instantly knocked, a fourth will cause him to pass out.
Bluminescence: Has the second best tolerance for alcohol after Ray Trace, also due to his size. He does not drink, however, which is why he has a significantly lower rate than Ray Trace. Two glasses of wine will get him drunk.
Ultra Violet: He has drunk to cope before, but his tolerance isn't that good: it is slightly better than Kontrast. One and a half glass of wine will get him drunk.
Kontrast: Better tolerance than Dark Light, but it isn't saying much. A glass of beer will get him tipsy, another will get him drunk. A full bottle of it will get him heavily drunk. He occasionally chugs beer but not too frequently.

Dark Light: She enjoys evenings and night time, her preferred shift being overnight. She does not like the light pollution in Mushroom City, however.
Redshift: Mornings are his favorite time, as their temperatures are just the right amount of chill, and fishing is fun to wake up to for him.
Ray Trace: Ray doesn't really have a preference, though he likes it when people are up and about. He enjoys the night life of night clubs, but he also likes day activities too. The time of the day most people are up are around noon to night, so those are his favorite times.
Bluminescence: He loves bright sunshine and daylight, so noon to evening are his favorite times. He does not enjoy the night, as he's scared of the dark.
Ultra Violet: He generally prefers the day than the night (he likes actually seeing his surroundings), though he also likes early evening hours because of its chiller atmosphere.
Kontrast: Like Bluminescence, he does not like the dark and is afraid of the things that are out by night. He also enjoys mornings because that means it's the end of the night, and it's one of the better times of the day to exercise in.

Shmaluigi is the king of distracting himself. Something goes wrong? Start working on a case. The case goes south? Push past it, dedicate yourself to the investigation even more. Even his detective career (partially) comes from this mentality.

Shmaluigi and my self-insert are well aware of each other but rarely interact and don't have any sort of relationship.
