The Future Marriage of Mario and Princess Peach

As I looked at concept of Super Mario Odyssey which Mario and Peach were supposed to get married at end of the game but in final game, Peach ditches Mario and Bowser to not marry either them, I'm so mad about that ending I want the real ending where Mario and Peach are finally getting married just like concept of Super Mario Odyssey. Is sequel of Super Mario Odyssey is gonna let Mario and Peach will finally getting married in the future soon? I really want Mario and Peach will be main characters for Super Mario Odyssey 2 with Luigi to be unlockable later in the game.

i understand why it got cut. maybe because mario being horny for peach is an iconic mario trait at this point, so basically both of them getting married would look like some kind of ending to the mario series. (hence why mario and bowser got friendzoned by peach at the end, which i personally find it better than mario and peach actually getting married)

Maybe if after Mario and Peach got married in a sequel game, the main series will still going as spin-offs too.

Do you really think any decent woman would want to get married immediately after being forcibly wed to a giant monster? Come on now, Odyssey's ending was good, because Peach actually had some agency in it rather than be a reward to Mario's advances.

Also, Mario's never been a story-driven franchise, nor will it ever be. It never has a strong continuity, and all of its major characters are relatively empty shells; that isn't necessarily a bad thing since they can all play whatever roles they like without people balking at them. When it a game did try to establish a story for a character, ie Rosalina, guess what happened to her when she became a beloved character people want to see again? All of that got thrown out the window to do things that would be otherwise against her personality and backstory.

So, is it really feasible to expect a marriage of these two characters? It sounds like a MarioxPeach wet dream, but I feel like that's where it will stay at because of the very low continuity the franchise has.

Don't forget Peach flat out rejects Mario after he asks her.

Pauline would be be better fit than Peach to be our plumber boy's wife.
Ever seen the Studio C video where a Toad asks Mario to save Peach AGAIN? Look it up, it illustrates this pretty well.

Mario and Peach tying the knot is something I wanted too. But it didn't happen. I am glad that this concept exists. I like how Wedding Peach is in Mario Kart Tour. I would have loved to see Mario and Peach tie the knot and have Mario become the king of the Mushroom Kingdom and with Peach being his queen. It would have been well deserved because I consider Mario as the king of video games and with Peach being the queen of video game ladies. It would make Mario a true king as his title. It's kinda like with Michael Jackson being the King of Pop and with Madonna being the Queen of Pop.

i'd rather not tbh, I don't even ship them. I know they'd never go in another direction, but i'd prefer it to stay ambiguous so my shipping of both of them with other characters isn't invalidated

I'd like it if, in the Mario movie, Peach and Mario were about to marry in the ending, but Peach said "I don't" for some reason.

Mario Odyssey's ending was the best scenario that could have happened in that particular moment (except kicking Bowser's face I thought that was kinda unnecessary but I don't mind) and no one can convince me otherwise.

What is your real ending to Super Mario Odyssey guys? My ending is Mario and Peach are finally getting married better than final game's ending.
Here's fan fiction I found:

He kicked Bowser in the face because he looked behind himself and saw Bowser was about to yank him down.

Hm I guess it's been so long since I actually played the game then.

Makes sense. Thanks for the enlightenment.

I feel like that Mario maybe should've waited a little bit before purposing to Peach, seeing as they have just barely escaped the collapsing Honeylune Ridge caverns by the skin of their teeth less than two minutes ago.

i wouldnt want them to get married, as others have said it really does have this finalness to it. but i think the ship itself is kinda cute!

not gonna get passionate about it though

I mean, Peach returned Mario's love in Mario Power Tennis when she blowed the kiss back at him in her trophy scene.

It's a bunch of randomly floating platforms so of course float.

Bowser deserved it for causing all of the problem in the first place, though. Even if Bowser wasn't trying to bring Mario down, it's just a cartoonish slapstick that hammers the fact that Bowser lost and is a loser and deserves it.

This is true too. Peach hasn't told Mario that it's not going to work or that Mario is a jerk or that Mario doesn't deserve her.

My interpretation is that she's just fed up with all the chaos. Marriage is a commitment, a decision that requires a ton of discussion and compromise and limitations in real life, not something you just agree on because a person helped you and saved your life. Peach isn't tossing out that possibility of marrying Mario outright, she's just basically saying "I love you Mario but I've been through a highly stressful situation where I risked getting married against my will; this is not the right time; stop pushing me and let us decide another time, back in Mushroom Kingdom preferably, not from his cosmic hellfire".

And even without that interpretation on my end, it's just a silly cartoon interaction. It's not serious at all and it's nowhere near the destruction and invalidation of Mario and Peach shipping.

IMO calling it a "friendzone" isn't accurate. They're still romantically involved, but that Peach doesn't want to be married on the spur of the moment, and probably doesn't want to be on a date at that particular time. You can be romantically involved but not want to marry because of the responsibilities! Romantic couples co-habit instead of marrying all the time!
