The motherlode of unreleased Mario content

Makes the unofficial Luigi model people were using for years look funny by comparison.
 
Well now the leak happened and is part of the swirling spiral that's the Internet, he won't be lost to time as long as the programs that can read the files (most do right now) remain relevant.
 
Man, my 8 year self would have been thrilled to see the existence of Luigi, one of the biggest things I disliked about Super Mario 64 as a kid was the lack of him anywhere.
 
Anything from that Mario 128 project we for a long time thought was going to become a game?
 
I always thought Luigi was planned for the game, but it's real treasure we actually found Luigi in the game. There are probably ROM hacks made using that asset now. I particularly like the sweet fan art that came out of it, though, showing Mario and Luigi reuniting with each other.
 
Maybe, one day, they will.

I cannot still believe that L is real 2401. Now, that's a huge leak!
