"What's seen in the shadows is easily misunderstood in the mind of a child."
Purple was used for shadows in old Atari games. FNAF's early minigames were styled after these and this was true in games 1-4. So I believe Afton was intended to be interpreted as a person cloaked in shadow. Still, he grew to be known as "the purple guy" to the fandom and would later be called such in official material.
Afton being covered in shadow is way better than him being a creepy dude wearing purple just saying. :p
Fan interpretation's influence on the FNAF franchise is very interesting to me... Golden Freddy used to just be a fan name, he was originally called yellow_bear in FNAF 1's files.

I've had an idea in my head 4 a bit.
Trying to solidify a style for that idea, going for a look similar to that of SC's old works. I'm mixing elements of other related stuff and throwing my own spice in.
If I actually go through this thing I'm planning on making it kinda presented sort of like this.

I DON'T REMEMBER HER BEING SO TEENY!!! I don't think these are the ones I used for her. Or maybe they are. The original Bunny Ditto lore was William Afton (I was obsessed with this character fsr lol) got into a springbonnie suit it was mimicking and got trapped. So then she had his memories somehow and decided to mimic his little daughter Elizabeth. But Dittos have crappy memory so she gets all the new info messed up and thus blob with binby ears. The thought of Afton silently suffering as this fangirl went "Amogus poggers!!" or some shit was very funny to me at the time. I still like this menace.

Black and White blobs within one another fighting for dominance. Opposites in every way. Yeah, this is the same cat from earlier. It has changed so much through time... Nowadays it's some sort of eldritch monster. I'm gonna return it to its roots someday.
Amateurish but cute. A long time ago little me asked a person what their favorite part of my art was. They said they loved the shapes and I agree looking back. I really enjoy the expressions of all these too. People are so negative when looking back on their old work. Always talking about cringing or whatever but for me this was just super fun! It was surreal as well, I don't even remember drawing most of these. Like some of this doesn't feel like mine but it couldn't be anyone else's.
