Are Chain-Chomps Cute or Scary?

Chain Chomps usually fill the scary role in the games they are put in. Like in Super Mario 64 when it's tied to that log in the first level, Night Light Fright from MP5 trying to stop them from reaching you, Chain Chomp Fever from MP4 where you're basically playing Jackass trying not to get hit, and Sneak n Snore from MP2 trying not to get caught breaking out of the dungeon. But sometimes in games like SMB3 and NSMBW, they are more of a minor annoyance than scary.

I do like those times where you team up with Chain Chomps, especially when stealing stars in Snowflake Lake, Throw me a Bone from MP6, and the Chain Chomp item in Double Dash.

For some reason, I think it's cute when Chain Chomps do an angry expression, like during the boss in Mario Party 9.

But honestly, that's just an artistic decision to have the teeth be read more easily on the Chain Chomp.
