"Time for a new day, but as we always say, neatness counts."
"That's right Mario, and by the way, you have a little piece of spaghetti on your overalls."
Hey there, this is the Shadow Prince, a member of the previous committee to give analysis on these two weeks' poll. This is certainly an interesting poll as whether you've preferred live action or animated Mario depends on what feel is more your cup of tea. Where of course the former means you're probably more likely to give a positive choice on this poll.
This has a thought-provoking list of options, such as even if you want more live-action emphasis whether you want it to be through mascot suits or actors. I always like when things are specific so those being two additional branches is a nice touch.
The Mario franchise has had live-action elements before (i.e. The 1993 film, The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!). Would you like to see more live-action content?
- I enjoy live-action Mario content and would like to see more content of this nature.
- Yes, although I would like to see more content with mascot suits, similar to the ones used in advertisement and web original shorts.
- Yes, though I would prefer using actors in costumes, in the same vein as Lou Albano or Bob Hoskins.
- I am fine with live-action content, though it feel as if it should not have priority among Mario content.
- I feel as though that live-action content should be relegated to simple and minor forms, such as commercials or web original shorts.
- I have no desire to see more live action content.
- I have no opinion.
Option 3 for me I guess but I've felt more strongly about other polls; seeing how much they're able to make people in costumes seem like Mario and Luigi slightly interests me.
I am probably also closer to option 3 than option 1, though yeah, more because there wasn't enough development rather than actually disliking any of the characters. I liked the portrayals quite a bit, and I would have liked to see more of them interacting rather than less in favor of set pieces and action scenes. An Option 2 person, coming much closer to 3 than 1 too as I'd give it a 7/10. As was mentioned by the chairperson, and as I've said myself, my biggest weak point with the movie is that it critically underdevelops a couple elements, namelyLuigi not having any development when being in the cage, even if it's lighthearted (like learning bravery from fun attempts to build morale, and get everyone out but that still fail) and it seeming to want to give Donkey Kong more depth but spending barely any time on it.
