What game did you last play?!?!?!?

Hyrule Warriors

I played a demo that went up to the end of the King Dodongo fight, it was okay.

I tried Link, Zelda and Midna, but overall Link with the Magic Rod is my favourite (Link w/ MR > Zelda > Link w/ S, Midna), especially with how I was just long-distancing the bigger enemies for the giggles.

Zelda was the next most fun, and Midna would be after her because it was enjoyable to combo with her but she's too slow for too long, so I like Link with his standard sword better.

Code Name: S.T.E.A.M.

Beat the prologue and the first two missions, surprised to not be getting any other agents yet, but oh well. Was mostly dull because I did most of the maps thus far in the demo already, but I'm past the stuff I've seen so it'll be good from here on out.

My favourite is Sheik. I love the water shield, since it makes you invincible pretty much and if it breaks you can just make a new one. The lightning tornado is really good too.

Awesomenauts

kudos to Icebro for giving it to me. Raelynn seems pretty boss

Smash 4 Wii U

rekt some scrubs on for glory, got some really amusing replays
mario's fair is so much fun lol

Zelda's my favourite to play as, Rapier only though.

idk how you can like Link w/ the Magic Rod. Magic Rod was one of my least favourite weapons.

I like Hyrule Warriors, because the combat is fun and the graphics are amazing. However, I think it lacks the spirit of the series with a laughably uninspired story. Also, I hate how it flips the bird at the canon by saying the Master Sword needs friendship to function. That's not the Master Sword, that's the Elements of Harmony.

It's literally not canon to the series so whatever they wanted to do with the master sword was up to them, I didn't really care either way. I find it hard to say it lacks the spirit of the series when it's jam packed with references to all the past zelda games, like the moon coming down when fighting Argorok? fucking badass and it's super cool seeing the moon in the game. I don't really think zelda games are the pinnacle of story telling anyway.

Paper Mario: Sticker Star
Last time I played this was November, before I got Etrian Odyssey and ignored everything else in favour of it. I just finished the Enigmansion when I stopped so I went ahead and beat World 4. It didn't take long but the minecart part was fun like I remembered, nice tunes. I guess I'll do World 5 + Endgame sometime soon. I'm not really sure how I'll go about completing the sticker museum since I never did on my first playthrough; didn't even know it existed lol.

There's s difference between overloading fanservice and actually having the heart of the series. However, it's still worth playing, other than that.

There is a difference, but they aren't mutually exclusive either.

I feel that in this case, the difference shows. But if you still like the story, that's fine. I don't want us to be accused of flame wars.

Neither of us have flamed each other so I highly doubt that'll happen lol. But w/e, we can agree to disagree or something along those lines.

oh and I guess;
Pokemon LeafGreen
Now that I have five bug pokemon the levels are starting to get spread evenly which is making some battles far more difficult for the weaker 'mons. Beedrill sucks, a lot. Even Hyper Beam can't save his poor soul.

As an overall character, Zelda would definitely take it for me.

But with the rod, I loved all of the finishers (especially that flamethrower) and the range is something it definitely has over the other weapons. Only thing I found lackluster was the special (or if not the right name, it was that thing that was available when you maxed the yellow bar), so I dunno how you could feel that way about it, honestly.

On a related note, I had literally no idea what I was doing in terms of how to combo or get specific finishers, that was the only problem with the demo. Should've put up a list or something.

Are you doing a Bug-Type run or something?

I figured out I have one wlan router which sometimes disconnects from the internet and one which doesnt but is slow

so i set up both

what i do is use the first one until it disconnects, then quickly switch to the second one and reconnect

foolproof

You have plenty of time to feel out and figure out what amount of presses leads to what combos. All the combos are light attack xNo. -> heavy attack so you can just spend a minute to get it down to memory. The combos are far from complex lol. The list really doesn't help at all since it doesn't tell you what the finisher is.

christ I suck at this game

Paper Mario: Sticker Star
Wrapped up my complete run of the game, beat World 5 and then beat the final boss. Good thing they give you a freebie Shiny Tail during the fourth bowser phase or I would've been there for a while. I believe I had enough stickers to last though, I took away a good 100+ HP and still had 4-5 pages worth of stickers. The final phase only takes 5-6 stickers anyway if you have the Stereo, I don't know why you would ever not use it for the fight; x2 damage is nothing to shake a stick at.

Pokemon LeafGreen
Silph Co. gave some much needed levels to my team, for some reason Beedrill seems to always shine during gym battles despite being pretty useless everywhere else.

Worms 3 (the Google Play Store one)
Played on some friend's phone. Beat him 3-2 with a team called TyranosaurusREKT (shut up, there were space limits). First match I destroyed the ground under our two last worms and he drowned first. Second match I'm sure I won by drowning his last worm. Third round I kind of got all my worms killed without drowning. Fourth round was an unfortunate disadvantage against some camping(steel beam and sentry shenanigans). In the fifth one I stupidly drowned two of my worms in exchange of one of his, but I utterly destroyed one of his with a bull ,and although that one guy died too to something, this is where I overcame his camping. He teleported one of his worms outside of his camp and I kind of killed him(including placing a sentry near me). A sudden death happens, and then I'm ready to go and destroy the other guy's camp. He decides to take a risk and cross to his other camp since it wasn't destroyed. Unfortunately, that involved going past my sentry, and he got stopped mid-trip. I used a fire uppercut(idk, I guess it's a shoryuken reference), which in itself took away all his health, but also drowned that last worm. It was funny.
