What game did you last play?!?!?!?

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS

On DLC characters:

Roy: OK I love Roy but I'm kinda suckish with him, it's mostly the lag on some of his attacks that I need to be mindful of.

Lucas: I need to learn not to use Lucas' dash attack because it sux. I've gotten so accustomed to Ness' Smash 4 playstyle that switching between Lucas and Ness has become a lot harder to do :I

for some reason, all of his specials feel so much better to use compared to Brawl. Freeze and Magnet especially.

Ryu: I can't play as Ryu for shit lmao. not one of my favourite characters and probably my least favourite character out of the current DLC we have. His stage is gorgeous though, even on the 3DS.

rip

Fire Emblem

After like fifty tries, I finaaaaaaaaally did the Pirate Ship chapter (18) on Hector Hard Mode, it's hell.

I seriously should've grinded Kent in LHM to actually use the Knight's Crest on him, that could've helped me get the Guiding Ring the boss had, because he was practically snickering at my struggling behind the never-ending waves of Shamans, Pegasus Knights, and Mercenaries.

I don't even feel like playing any more, but I probably will regardless.

EDIT: mfw my Guy is better than my Lyn

Fire Emblem: Awakening

I was excited by fates and needed to fire emblem

Kinda abandoned this after reaching walhart's paralouge stage, but after a tiny bit of grinding I cleared it. At first I cleared the stage with no deaths and killed Walhart with a Chrom/Morgan pair-up (Chrom started the convo and delivered the final blow), and was surprised by how easy it was. However, I thought I didn't recruit him because I killed him in the same fight with Chrom, so I reset.

Turns out I probably misread Walhart's dialouge after the fight and might've missed him in my catalogue when I looked for him, because I think he had the same dialogue even after clearing it for a second time. The second attempt was much harder because I kept Chrom unpaired so he could start the conversation by himself and not kill Walhart in the same battle. My two weakest units for the battle died (but not really because newcomer lmao) and I almost had a game over because of Chrom but whatever. I got lobster man in the end and that's all that matters.

I think Emmeryn's next, but I don't really want to recruit her because I find the whole 'jumped from a cliff, only has amnesia' thing to be really stupid and she seems kinda meh. in fact i find that most of the excuses for recruiting bonus characters from the paralogues make almost no sense because of the importance of their deaths in the main story (which in itself doesn't make much sense but still).

e: whoops. newcomer, not classic

Yoshi's Woolly World, and I'm honestly enjoying it as much as I did Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. It only took Nintendo twenty years to finally get it right, but I'm happy they eventually managed to figure out the series at one point.

Animal Crossing: keep revisiting the online island until it gives you the items you want New Leaf

almost done collecting all of the island items, I just need five more pieces of the mermaid series, the tropical vista wallpaper+floor and some of the aloha clothes then i'm never visiting the island again

...until i need stag money

Animal Crossing New Leaf

Was on the island with Star, Nysic and I think Meta Knight, but then it was like 12:40 AM so I had to go to sleep so when I had to leave the island Nysic wouldn't sit down and MK was afk I think so I eventually just pressed power but too late I got in trouble and now I have no 3DS for the weekend and no electronics past 10:30.

At least i can probably still play Splatoon and Project M.

Fire Emblem: Awakening

it never stops. 14/49 limit breaker units. 2/49 max stat units

w-wow, I can seriously just solo rouges 3 with Nah? This makes grinding for Limit Breaker way easier.

I feel your struggle, that sucks.

Fire Emblem Gaiden (well I'm still playing it)

Good grief Geyse's map is a pain, he has a guy with Fortify and another with Messiah both on forts next to him, which basically means the Shaman can create an infinite amount of undead units with Messiah (magic spells in this game cost HP and have no weapon limit), while the Wizard can just fortify when a bunch of the undead units are about to die again, and those units don't even give good experience.

If you try to attack them, the two magic units have attacking spells and Geyse is literally a truck because he has seven movement, making it almost impossible to assassinate those two unless you avoid him or kill him off first, which again, is difficult because if you get him low, like any other ai unit they will run back to a fort to heal, and he'll probably have a barricade of undead units to stall you when that happens.

So Catria is my assassin with a Javelin, I'm walling him with weak units generated by Jenny's Illusion (using Celica's Recover to make sure she can constantly do it), which does what Messiah does but with worse units. They won't leave much of a scratch, but it'll keep him busy while Catria picks off the magic units. They can't hurt her alone, because she's a Pegasus Knight, and if they do hurt her, Jenny also learned Physic so I can keep her healed from there and maybe send in Palla if she really needs the help.

I'm still laughing at how this game has pushed me to such tactics.

istill havent figured out why that thing took me an entire week to finish

i kept walking back and forth and at one point i forgot where one of the water level change things was i think and i thought i was literally stuck

water temple is really easy

especially compared to that god forsaken ice temple in lttp

I actually went through that dungeon in its entirety without getting hit. :dk:

Literally one of my greatest accomplishments, although at the time I thought it was just easy.

Final Fantasy 13

lol Odin is a bitch

who wouldve guessed that you need to switch to the most unnecessary paradigm for lightning, the uh, blue one (idk what its called in the english version), because the only way to get up the metamorph bar is by hitting him with lightning strikes

healing helps too iiirc

well the fight just dragged on for too long that way and i got killed by the countdown

i just made a paradigm which included healer and i revived hope when he got killed and that worked, even though it was still bs

Pokemon Y

I don't think I've touched this since I completed the N-dex and got the shiny charm lol. turns out i have boxes and boxes of solosis from masuda breeding and they haven't been released yet :O
