Edit2: Finished Sabin's sequence. That was a wild ride that made me go "WTF" the entire way through. Gau fights interestingly although I'm still biased towards Cyan. Hope to see Shadow again.

Too bad Cyan's good attacks (swordtechs) are extra slow later on.

Well at least he makes a funny trio with Sabin and Gau in his sequence. Oh yeah, I also just noticed Celes means something like "Sky"(or is related to it) and Terra means "Earth".

yeah cyan is pretty meh

especially compared to other power houses like sabin, edger, gau, and terra

psycho cyan though

that is one of the more topkek glitches in the game as well

i tried using psycho cyan against kefka but too bad a lot of his tiers know instant kill magic

Pokemon X

I finally got all Sinnoh Pokemon with the Rampardos line. So now the last region to complete is Unova...oh boy.

Final Fantasy 3(or 6)(the SNES one)
Finished both Sabin's and Terra/Edgar/Banon's sequence. Sabin's sequence is the best one(TEB was just way too easy and I was slightly displeased by Locke's).

So I beat the boss battle of the Attack on Narshe(probably pretty obv. but 20yo spoilers). I was confident with attacking the boss with a Terra/Gau party but I almost lost. The Esper "twist"(simple plot advancement?) got me. Currently going with a Celes/Edgard/Gau/Locke party.

eh theres better glitches and builds

and cyan overall isnt that great for common battles

might be decent for final dungeon, but thats it

Just felt like playing it. Started a new file. Last time I played nobody on my friends list had the game yet so I didn't get to do that friend scan thing. I forgot what my own summon was, I think it was Arcanist Edea w/ a Black Mage attack but who knows, there was like three Pirate Edea's when I checked this time.

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Went all the way to Agon Wastes and the Temple Grounds before the game told me that the place I needed to go was basically two rooms away from where I last saved. I made it back to that save and stopped there so I got almost nothing accomplished besides getting the Darkburst. Then I played it again and got the grappling beam. That boss wasn't easy, more in the 'i cant fucking hit this things weak point' way rather than the 'this thing is going to give me a game over' way. Then I beat the Bog boss, that one wasn't so bad.

be sure to keep on phantom at all times unless youre playing glitchfree

If you cast vanish on most bosses they become vulnerable to Doom (1HKO), even if you normally can't insta kill them.

Summoning Phantom casts Vanish on everyone (iirc).

Which is why vanish/doom is so op.

the opera sequence from beginning to end (from entering the building until you're on the blackjack) is one of the best things in any video game ever plz

well first it woah'd me with what the snes was capable of doing(vocal-like sound effects) and then i was slightly frustrated because i failed the Celes part of the opera twice and then i was like, "well this is some awesome boss music" and then i was laughing at how trivial the fight was made by Gau.

i mean i guess but i didn't expect to win in 2 turns.

you can limit yourself pretty hard and still beat him quickly, its one of the easiest boss fights in the game.

Which is saying something since ff6 is the easiest final fantasy.

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Took me a little bit to figure out how to reach the next area, forgot about the power up I got from the Bog boss. New area looks... interesting, all the areas in Prime 2 have been pretty underwhelming though. The bog gets bonus points for having rain but I have come to the realisation that I think that while the game is designed around the dark world stuff, the dark world stuff sucks ass. I don't like the whole dark world thing.

I tried a JP grinding method and it went okay, I maxed out Freelancer. I think I'll just do that if I don't feel like playing the new file. I'll give all the free villagers to the new file so that when I get around to it I just blitz through the shop waiting times. Obliterate makes it so I can just spin the stick and spam a and I'll just get JP regardless of the class. Until the game gives the enemy first strike for no good reason.

I just kinda expected a bit more I guess since Ultros 1 kinda killed me twice.
I spammed Health with Banon those two fights and eventually he said something like, "You frighten me." He then proceeded to do some strong attack against Banon which instantly killed him.

ultros 1 wouldve been harder if dark actually did something in the snes version
