What game did you last play?!?!?!?

Kirby's downright fantastic in that one. Just use d-air against the CPU, they're not going to stand a chance.
I've heard he's pretty great! It's a little weird playing Kirby without the Hammer Flip, but he's still got plenty of good moves at his disposal. And yeah, that D-Air is pretty great.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2

Highlights of the game: Chemical Plant (my favorite zone in the game), Casino Park, Hill Top, Oil Ocean, all of them are very fun to play through

Downfalls of the game: Aquatic Ruins, Metropolis (going on the corkscrew, getting knocked off the corkscrew, having to go off-screen to make the corkscrew come down, crab robots, preying mantis, and star-shaped robots aren't fun at all, this is probably the worst zone in the game), Wing Fortress (repetitive music, making mistakes cause you to backtrack, very difficult to tell what is a platform and what isn't and those chickens are annoying)

Stopped playing at the Death Egg Zone since I binged played this one and I really needed a break.

I also got killed by the monitor that's supposed to give me a one-up.

Is there...like, any indication of what zones have pits and whatnot? It's really difficult to tell if there's a lower section of the zone or if there's a pit, which is super annoying to me.

Stickman Falling

It's one of those ragdoll mobile games where you try to get as many points as possible on different courses by breaking bones, getting limbs ripped off, etc with the ability to have your stickman ride vehicles, have extra props attached to them/added to the level, etc.

I actually paid for having no ads, a rarity for me, but the game is really fun and also I had like $17 in Google Play Credit with no idea what to buy so I figured might as well spend some of it before it expires.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Definitively the best Smash game in the franchise, with the most content ever. I've never played Break the Targets or Board the Platforms though, and they would be a great addition.

Super Kirby Clash
This game is cool, but almost every time I play it is because Im bored. I mean, it's cool to play it while your in a party and everything, but it's not that fun when you play alone.

yeah, well, dair isn't the only thing he's great with. Kirby's Final Cutter seems to go pretty darn far compared to latter iterations. I like hitting people multiple times with the unique f-air, which is like d-air but just on the side and doesn't spike.

Kirby's u-tilt is one of the best moves in the game by the way. Its range is crazy and surprising and it moves fast and the knockback angle just makes it spammable.

I'm sure it's kind of weird that Kirby's uair is just the nair in later games, the twinkle star. You also probably find it weird his forward throw is the up-throw in later games. But it's so satisfying to land because of the explosive sound effect.

Also taunting is weird, you can make Kirby face the wrong direction. They fixed it in Melee I believe.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2

Mecha Sonic is rather simple and straightforward, though I did have dumb deaths to him. The part where he jumps while spinning though is...yeah you have no way to anticipate that unless you know his second spinning attack makes him jump, so of course I died to that.

Death Egg Robot was a bit cryptic to figure out how to hurt him (I had to look up a guide how to hurt him, and I think I got him confused for another Eggman boss where I thought you have to hit his underside or something), and his moves are difficult to avoid at first (the claw attack comes out extremely quickly, twice, and the bombs just hurt you even though they don't look like they should). Though...once you figure out how to attack his belly without touching his arms and you hug the left and right corners when he does that jumping attack and the claw shooting out attack (it can't even reach you if he's all the way left or right and you're all the way out left or right), then he shouldn't be too difficult.

Congratulations, now you get to play Sonic 3.....& Knuckles.

Just to save you a headache, when you get to the zone with the rotating cylinder platforms that go up and down, stand on them and push up and down to get it to move.

Actually, I think I'm going to play Sonic CD first, as that came out before Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

either way, remember what I said about the cylinders.

I'll remember.

I gave Sonic CD a runthrough and I actually find myself enjoying the game a lot, might actually prefer this over Sonic 2? The soundtrack is really good in this game, and I like how the game encourages some exploration if you want the good ending. It's also probably easier as well, the game's pretty generous with handing you lives, and I like how creative the boss fights are (the boss fight music is so freaking good). The only jank thing I don't like too much is trying to access the past or the future, it should have been hopping on a platform than a Back to the Future-styled running stuff that you can easily bump into a wall and mess you up.

finally got around to mined craft because i had an idea of an ocean world with a whole bunch of little houses and you travel using frost walker boots. i made a stupid lil bottle

well that was sure fun even though i just hecked around in creative a whole bunch

Super Smash Bros. (N64)

Beaten Classic Mode with Kirby, Yoshi, and DK so far. Currently trying to unlock the Mushroom Kingdom stage, meaning I still need to do it as Link, Samus, Fox, Pikachu, and Mario.

Could also try lowering the difficulty to Easy and playing as Kirby again so I can get Captain Falcon, because so far that 20 minute time limit has proven pretty strict. As for Ness, unlocking him will take some practice.

Old School RuneScape

FINALLY got to level 55 Thieving so I can train on Ardy Knights. Now I gotta slowly make my way to level 75 so I can complete the step on this damn Master Clue I've had for at least a year now.

Which soundtrack are you listening to? (US or JP/EU)

I'm playing the Steam version by Christian Whitehead, so I think the JP/EU one is the default one (haven't changed settings when I played the game), though there is the option to switch soundtracks. As far as I can tell, the JP version has the better soundtrack simply because of its boss fight music alone with its cheesy but amazing vocals.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Definitively the best Smash game in the franchise, with the most content ever. I've never played Break the Targets or Board the Platforms though, and they would be a great addition.

Melee's physics feel better, and I prefer the game's presentation and style more. It also doesn't have Steve. SSBU is really good though, but Melee crushes its single player content imo (same for Brawl, the only thing that game really had going for it).

I just "beat" Sonic 2 & Knuckles (I think this might be the first time I actually beat it, and I cheated like hell). Death Egg Robot is a literal nightmare as Knuckles due to his inferior jump height. I'd suggest giving it a try if you return to the game, it spices things up just enough.

I finished Mario & Donkey Kong Minis on the Move yesterday and now
I'm starting my 9th Mario 3DS title, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D
:dk:
How nice to see the former carpenter plumber and grandson of a city ape getting along,
Because you know, normally carpenter plumbers and city apes are arch rivals.

Super Mario 3D All Stars - Super Mario 64 (Nintendo Switch)

Still chipping away at the remaining stars I need before moving onto something else, just got the 100 coin star for Hazy Maze Cave which is probably one of my least favorite stars in the entire game.

Super Smash Bros. (N64)

Unlocked Captain Falcon and Ness. Interestingly, Captain Falcon gave me more trouble--while his unlock requirements are easier, I lost to his Challenger's Approach battle twice before beating him. Triggering the Ness battle took a few tries, but ultimately Kirby pulled through and beat his challenger battle first try.

The only major unlockable left is the Mushroom Kingdom stage, and for that I need to beat Classic Mode as the five remaining characters I mentioned earlier: Link, Samus, Fox, Pikachu, and Mario. Might also try it as the unlockable characters afterwards.

Super Mario 3D All Stars - Super Mario 64 (Nintendo Switch)

Only nine more stars to go, just finished grabbing all the stars in Wet-Dry World. I believe the remaining stars are in Tiny-Huge Island, Tick Tock Clock and Rainbow Ride.

Super Smash Bros. (N64)

So I unlocked the Mushroom Kingdom stage at last, and with that, I have unlocked everything in the game. If I had another controller, I could probably enjoy actually using this stuff, but so far it's just there for the sake of completion. I suppose I could try Board the Platforms as more characters, as well as Classic Mode as the remaining four. For now, though, it's here for whenever I feel like revisiting when Smash began.

Melee and Brawl are a lot bigger and I'm probably going to play one of them next. Not sure when exactly, but hopefully soon.

Oh wait, I just remembered that Smash Remix mod...there's my replay incentive!

Super Mario 3D All Stars - Super Mario 64 (Nintendo Switch)

Five more stars to go, almost there. I just got the remaining stars in Tiny Huge Island.

Not looking forward to the 100 coin stars for Tick Tock Clock and Rainbow Ride, will probably save them for last.

Edit #1: Two more left.
Edit #2: Done.
