honestly it makes sense that your locations in the country would have a lot of differences, so much as for you to ask that question

frankly whenever i go to the north of england, it feels like a different country, the houses are different, the accents are different, the roads, bus schedules, etc.

so for all intents and purposes, you're not really living in the same germany, especially considering roads and bus schedules will differ in some places

so basically same country, different customs



on the topic of almost missing public transportation but catching it in the nick of time, i've done this before!

i was on the first bus, running a tad bit late, and i could see my second bus pulling away from the stop, as my bus pulled in

i decided that it would be best to run to the next stop to see if i could catch it there

what ensued was a mad dash across to the other end of the street to james bond music playing in my head, while the bus slowly approached the next stop

needless to say i was very impressed with myself when i caught up to it

single greatest moment of my life

But no matter where you go, the idiocy of the Deutsche Bahn is the one constant that remains unchanged throughout the country. Its founding cast a shadow on all years of its past and its legacy shall haunt every hour that is to come for three eternities.

So over the past week the back of my Nintendo 3ds began to bulge. I merely brushed it off as the back cover warping likely due to heat and it still worked. So today I decide to play some games and my Nintendo 3ds doesn't turn out. I charge it maybe thinking it had died, but nope it didn't turn on. Naturally, I freak out and open the back of the 3ds to find out the battery is actually swollen.

Long story short I had to order another one for about $20. :-\ I guess at the very least I don't have to replace my 3ds.

Really great timing, especially since the day before I had redeemed Mario Golf World Tour, Wario Land II, and Chibi Robo Photo Finder. Guess all the free games I got ended up costing me after all.

this happened to me too

it was bulging around the back, so I got worried and unscrewed the back. The battery had become more of a hill. I had to go online and get a new one, but I didn't really trust this battery, since it's not licensed by nintendo

Frankly I was expecting the others to get it, because in my opinion they're much better at this kind of work. Related to this, I heard back from them today, and I didn't get the job. It actually went to my friend who also applied and got an interview. I'm happy for him, and I'm rather relieved that I didn't get it, but part of me is a little bit disappointed. Like as if I tried my best, but it just wasn't enough.

Oh well. These opportunities will come and go, best thing to do is grasp them while you can, and see where they take you. If you miss out on the opportunity, then it's still been a worthwhile experience nonetheless.

Went to a party, theme was childhood characters. I went as Matt from Digimon (will post my awful attempt at cosplay later). Most people there originally thought that I was just trying out a new fashion style rather than going with the theme.

This is a very good way to look at things, one that more people could definitely benefit from if they adopted it.



So I had to run some errands in a couple towns today, and on the way back home I was suddenly overcome with a burst of youthly vigor and an abundance of energy I haven't felt in months. I have no idea where it came from, but it was sure nice to feel like that again.

I found an old man passed out on the sidewalk. Naturally, I called 911 and tried to take care of him while he's trying to walk away from me. He then passes out again. By the time the ambulance gets here, I find out he's drunk.

What a lovely experience.

You know considering you got as far as you did, you'd probably still be a good candidate for later on. Keep in touch with your mate and maybe he can get you in during their next round of recruitments.

I went to my friends house for a sleepover.

I walked into it with my new haircut. My friends all came to the door to see me, and within 10 seconds I was lying on the floor trying to protect my hair from being rubbed.

A few hours later, a few of them went upstairs to get into their pajamas. One of my friends and I were already in them, so I sat down and played some Rebirth. Almost killed Mom's Heart the second time. During that run, I got the Pentagram, and with the mod I had set up, it said "Hail Stan". Naturally, my reaction was to turn to my friend and say "Hail Gruncle Stan". She was on the floor dying of laughter for 5 minutes straight.
