Fun! My friends and I once walked over a train bridge. In the dark. Then it turned out we went the wrong way and had to go back over it a second time. Fortunately no trains came until we had left the tracks and climbed up a hill and were wandering around a different set of tracks looking for firewood - but that was a bit safer since we could just scurry into the forest if a train came by up there (instead of having to jump into a river an unknown distance below, as would have been the case had we been confronted with a train whilst on the bridge).Viper26 said:I briefly played on train tracks

You shouldn't be on a train bridge, the risk of getting killed is really high. I also almost broke a train crossing signal by banging on one of the lights and played tight rope on rails.Walkazo said:Fun! My friends and I once walked over a train bridge. In the dark. The tracks I played on are only used like twice a week, so many students from nearby schools use it to walk home from school or as a trail to run on. Trains go around 40 to 60 kmh on these tracks and are very short in length. They can easily create long traffic jams if a train passes when a school is dismissed, and they are forced to go only 10mph or less so they can stop easily if somebody listening on headphones is on the tracks. The funny thing is that they wait until the person is 15 feet away from the tracks and do nothing to make them leave. That's a good chance to throw bricks and eggs at the train for creating long traffic jams!!Walkazo said:That's what makes it fun and exciting!Viper26 said:You shouldn't be on a train bridge, the risk of getting killed is really high. (Plus, it was a short enough bridge that we'd feel/hear the train coming with enough time to scurry off - they have to go slow and toot their horns through that area anyway since it's a twisty river valley with car crossings.)
Or the train can blow their horn. They don't do it at kids walking on tracks to prevent ear bleeding.Walkazo said:It's hardly the trains' fault that they're causing traffic jams because they have to go slowly enough to not kill unobservant kids wandering around on the tracks - throw eggs at the people wearing headphones instead: that'll get their attention.

I don't, but it's common in my area.Marty Mcfly said:Why would you wear headphones when on a train track in the first place?
It's a mix up.Emmett Brown said:Viper26 said:40 to 60 kmh
