This is an image of the Whacka Cream Sandwich from Issue 204 of The 'Shroom. I meant to have this image featured in the Cooking Guide section in Issue 204, but I forgot to send it to Waluigi Time.
 
I know I'm a little early with this, but my very first Cooking Guide section of 2025, in Issue 214, I'm gonna do something a little different. Instead of me deciding on the dish featured in the section, the readers are gonna decide the dish. Post your suggestions, and the five suggestions I like the most will be put together in a poll at the top of this thread, and the readers will then vote on the suggestion they like the most, and the suggestion with the most votes within 72 hours will be featured in Cooking Guide in Issue 214.
 
I know the issue will be after New Year's, but perhaps you could do a New Year's treat anyway? Plenty of places do desserts or other sweets for the holiday.

You might be able to get mileage out of putting together a special New Year's Horsetail Tart. Perhaps the base recipe is supplemented with some extra goodies like nuts or some kind of creamy filling.

Since I'm unsure as to when I will receive this month's Fake News reminder, I have decided to keep suggestions for this month's Cooking Guide section open until Wednesday, January 8, 8:30 PM, CET.
 
Suggestions for Cooking Guide's edition of Issue 214 are now officially closed. While I was hoping more people would send in suggestions, I'm satisfied with what I got, and I'll let you vote for which suggestion you guys like better. Voting will be open until Saturday, January 11, 11:55 PM, CET.
 
Voting for Cooking Guide's edition of Issue 214 is now officially closed. Since the voting tied, the decision will ultimately be up to me, ClawgripFan9001. While pastries and burgers are both dishes I've covered at least once in the history of me writing the section, I have decided to cover the Horsetail Tart (Suggested by @Hooded Pitohui) in Issue 214. Thank you all for the suggestions, thank you for supporting the section, this is going to be my little reward to you guys, so I hope you'll enjoy it once Issue 214 releases January 18th.

Sorry, Boo. Voting is now closed, and seeing as the votes were tied by the time they closed, I ultimately had to make the decision myself. But if it's any consolation, I might cover the Magma Burger as part of my summer edition of Cooking Guide in July.
