Why are some images not appearing?

I don't know if other users are experiencing this, but some images aren't showing up for me, particularly signature images. Question marks appear in the places where images should be seen. Here are some screenshots I took to show:

Is something wrong on my end, or is this happening to other users? Many images are clearly visible, but some aren't like the ones above.

Those are all Imgur embeds, looks like you might be blocking them from displaying on the site somehow. Check your browser's privacy settings and/or adblocker if you have one.

What's weird is I've seen Goombuigi's and LeftyGreenMario's signature images a few days ago. I looked up "Why aren't Imgur images showing up for me?" and there are sites claiming that it's an issue with Imgur itself. Maybe the issue will be fixed in time? It's not that big of a deal really, I was just confused as to why I wasn't seeing some of those images.

Well they work fine for me right now, but I suppose anything's possible. You could wait a few days and see if it sorts itself out.

I did notice it happening with the image of Honoka Kosaka in my signature. I use a website called Idol Story (https://idol.st/allstars/card/4/R-K...-Second-Year-Energetic-Girl-Who-s-All-Smiles/) to host it and when the image is unviewable I go to Idol Story and it makes me verify that I am human, after which the image becomes viewable again.

So I'm not the only one. Maybe it's a mobile thing? I use my IPad, I have no computer.

It's broken for me at the moment, just displays the filename.

I had pictures that were hosted on Discord in my signature but they both broke too.

Well then. Something's wrong with Imgur then. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

I had pictures that were hosted on Discord in my signature but they both broke too.

That's an intentional change on Discord's end, images now have a key of sorts at the end of the URL that expires after a certain amount of time. It doesn't affect anything on Discord itself, but it breaks externally linked images eventually.

Idol Story has been working fine today (haven't had to verify my humanity), and the Honoka image has remained viewable as a result. Is anyone else able to see it or not?

I can see it now, but some other images still aren't visible.

I'm revisiting this thread because my Halloween signature images are apparently not appearing for other users, I can see them just fine, but it's not the case for others.

So, I will post my signature images here and copy their URLs. I feel posting them in a public space will make them visible to all users.

I will come back with the results soon.

You can't upload images in a private conversation and then use them in your sig or in a thread because those files are private only to the users in the conversation. However, the attachments above should work fine. So update all the images in your sig to the files which start with "4874"

It works! Thanks @porplemontage! The fifth image didn't register because it had a weird number but I'm not concerned about that.

Sorry for bumping this thread yet again, but it has been brought to my attention that some images on my profile page don't show up for other users. I can see them just fine, but I need to post the images here so that I can get their links and therefore make the images available for all to see. I've gotten website links for some of them, but the remaining ones are self-captured/created by me so…

Following the advice of the wise porplemontage, I will post the images here so I can beget their links. Please ignore this post and carry on with your day/night. I'll get this to work!
