What Movies Have You Seen Recently?

who cares about the details

stop defining your movie by the length of time godzilla is in it and start defining it about how good it actually is overall

The Bourne Legacy
not sure if i wasnt paying enough attention or if the movie really made that little sense
wasn't bad tho
jeremy renner is hot

The Book of Life - Pretty good. Story's a bit weak and haphazard, but the central characters were interesting enough (especially the death gods).

I like how Joaquin wasn't a complete jerk in the end: he even looked like he was gonna let Maria off the hook at the wedding before it got interrupted. I also really liked Maria being feisty, witty and able to hold her own in a fight, although the fact that she and Manolo still got an insta-wedding in the end undermined the refreshing "do you think it'd be that easy?" stuff earlier. On the other hand, La Muerte / Xibalba = OTP - definitely my favourite characters (and character designs) of the film, and if sequels are ever made, I'd watch them just to see more of these two.

i liked the movie because it was really enthusiastically told, but the story and characters just felt really flat to me. la muerte and xibalba would have been good if they were given more depth, but we never really get to understand who they are and why they're doing all the betting and stuff (also like... why did xibalba face no consequences for cheating...)

Primer

It was all logical until the last 10-15 minutes and then... I just completely lost track of everything.........

When the two main characters were starting to get it on, I heard a metallic rattling in the theater...I hope that's not a belt.

that was me

no regrets

I didn't actually watch 50 shades of gray nor do i have any intend to

it was interesting but it didnt do it nearly as well as the books
and lets face it, who watches the hunger games for the political developments

i do

any good action movie knows that you need some level of emotional involvement to care about the action itself

though the 45 minutes of imax footage certainly helps

hunger games 1 the film was better than th book

2 i dont remember the movie well enough to make a judgement, but the book was pretty damn good

i thought hunger games 1 book was better than the movie

i didn't read any of the other books

in terms of movies, i think catching fire > mockingjay pt 1 > hunger games

I liked the first The Hunger Games movie, bored by the second one and could not even finish watching the third... 8)

I didn't like the first movie's feel compared to the other two.
There were many inaccuracies which ticked me off, like Peeta not having his leg amputated, Buttercup, no Madge, etc.

of course this is very minor to someone who hasn't read the book

Catching Fire and Mockingjay Part 1 were better, however the first one is still great in its own regard. Which one is the best, that'll go to Mockingjay Part 1. It had a nice balance pf everything. It was close, Catching Fire's non-action scenes ((and action scenes)) were cool and easy to get into, and I liked how they added parts with Snow's granddaughter, which was one of the best ways to add new stuff without outright changing the book plot.

Sucks that we'll have to see Prim die though, I really don't want to and the death itself was uncalled for. :'( :'(

i couldn't like the original movie because the directing was so shit and so was the pacing
also there was like way too much shaky cam, which was what irked me the most ((because I was 12 11 and didn't pay attention to directing and pacing and whatnot))
