What Movies Have You Seen Recently?

Donne Darko

I watched Iron Man last night with my sister, my dad, and my cousin. I was able to point out all the awesome stuff and early bits of broader Marvel continuity to them, although my dad had already seen this movie before. My dad went nuts over Jim Cramer's cameo and at Obaidah Stane's "TONY STARK WAS ABLE TO BUILD THIS IN A CAVE! WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS!!!", as did I. :P

I also think it's interesting and surreal to think that this movie is part of the same universe as the Thor and Captain America movies. They just have such different feels to them...

The Animatrix

It's structured a lot like Asimov's I, Robot and is worth a watch even if you're not a fan of the Matrix trilogy.

Princess Mononoke (1997)

can't believe it took me so long to finally see this masterpiece

I saw the Avengers over the weekend. It was pretty good, but I don't think it is as good as everyone says. There were a lot of funny parts, though.

The Godfather

I can see why it receives such high praise. I was astonished to find out that Al Pacino plays Michael Corleone. I understand that the film's over thirty years old, but he's unrecognizable even remotely. Anyway, I can't wait to watch the other two.

The Godfather Part II

Better than the first one.

Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted

In a word, hilarious.

In a few others:

The Pirates on an Adventure with Scientists

This is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. Especially the ending
Pirate Captain:Set sail for adventure
*Boat gets eaten by sea monster*
Captain:Just for decoration my foot!

Brave
Saw it today at the theater.

The Batman Superman Movie: World's Finest

Pretty awesome film, especially for 90's standards. This makes me want a Superman/Batman or Justice League live-action film even more now.

Brave was FANTASTIC. Also rewatched The Usual Suspects yesterday. If you haven't seen it, give it a shot, it's so great.
