Have you ever played any horror-esque takes on Mario games?

Pardon the weirdly worded title, it's the best I could do. Since Halloween is within the next 72 hours, I wanted to make this thread about the fangames taking a horror turn on Mario. Have you ever played any of these types of games? I haven't played as many as I've watched; I think I've played one legitimate Mario horror (Fallen Kingdom. a take on Mario '85) and quite a few FNF mods based on various faces of the evil fanside of the plumber. You all know the main one... heh. Anyway, enough from me, what are your experiences?
 
I haven't played any but I've watched plenty of gaming YouTubers play them. These indie horror fangame developers-they come up with some really good stuff-both for Sonic AND Mario.
 
"Please Come To The Castle", which is a Mario 64 horror fangame, is another good one. Seen full playthrough of that too.
 
@fantanoice Yeah Luigi's Mansion series is fun but it's also pretty creepy-especially with its game overs. All the game overs for all the games in the series are scary.
 
Closest i've played is Build 3313 (B3313), that one SM64 mod that plays into the whole "every copy of Super Mario 64 is personalized!!!" thing everyone was obsessed with in 2020/2021 and makes you explore a super large, very confusing to navigate version of Peaches Castle.
A few months ago I literally played the same level over like 100 times in a row cause I heard something would happen, nothing happened. :sad:
