Arcade Donkey Kong. I thought that if you could bring the hammer to the top, Mario would smash DK's head in and you would win. Because I was so little at the time, I didn't realise you couldn't jump with hammer, I just thought the jump button broke.

I'm not sure which one, but it was either Sonic the Hedgehog or Alex the Kid. Had no idea what I was doing. First game I got that I could play well was Pokemon Yellow. Good times, good times...
