I didn't name the sword; it was named for the sound it makes when stuck, which sounds like a harp's strings apparently, and the fact that it is the deadliest sword in the series...

@CL: Reread that section, they quite obviously imply she did, even if they totally focused on Eragon talking to Arya that scene.

The scene should've been more like in the Dragonriders of Pern series, where most of the mental bonding came from originally. Of course...it wouldn't have been appropriate for the target audience.
