I didn't know McDonald's sold Dr. Pepper-but anyways, there's probably some locations that resort to Pepsi due to the large distance from the nearest Coke distribution center.

Every McDonald's I've been to has had Dr Pepper to my knowledge. Granted I only have been to a select few outside New York, Oklahoma and Tennessee.
