Why is this even a rule? I can understand if it was the same website...but it's not. If anything I assume it will just cause more trouble for the administration.

They are affiliated, and the forum is technically just a branch of the mariowiki evidently because of its old name forum.mariowiki.com and the sitenotice at the time, saying Theforum is now located at marioboards.com. It is still a bracnch of the mario wiki and should be treated as such.
