What control scheme do you use to play Mario Kart Wii?

I use GC controller and manual.

If you've played Double Dash, it's more or less exactly the same.

I use manual. If I play with my friends, they use automatic (they are beginners in this game).

I use Manual for most vehicles. However, some vehicles heavily suck with Manual drifting, such as the Jetsetter. In those cases, Automatic is used instead.

I use the Wii Wheel with the Wii Remote. I used that at the beginning playing MKW, and have played with that ever since. I didn't know at the time there were different controllers to use, so that's why i'm bad with all the other controllers. My sister though uses the Gamecube controller.

I don't really understand why the L button is used to use items for the GCN Controller. In Double Dash!!, you used the Y and X buttons.

I know the gamecube controls aren't located well. They probably want you to use the wii wheel instead

I use the wiimote and nunchuck and automatic because it's hard to drift on a bike.
