How Old Are You?

Epic compliment ^
Im 14, but 15 in April. In May Im getting a job.

Yes! I meant that as an epic compliment too! :)
Man, I meant it's cool to see younger people on here so enthused about video games considering they came out in the 80s! I mean I am only 22, but still, I grew up with Nintendo in the 90s and it's nice to see younger people into it :)
What day in April is your birthday!? Mine's April 7th :D

We're both April girls! *High five*

Hey, I have been told by a few that I act immature for my age, and I am pretty fine with that. I am a big kid deep down inside. :) It's good b.c I am going to school to be a kindergarten teacher :)

I also watch/play Pokémon, and I'm still mature.

Yeah, but at school its considered immature.
Just because I rate video games over acting like an idiot or gorillaz over crappy chart music and Jack white over some stupid ugly boy who girls go mad over Im considered weird/immature. Teenage life is hard.

Playing Pokemon doesn't make you immature, but it seems like a lot of people think it does. I don't see anything immature about it. They're better than the popular shooting games everyone plays now, in my opinion. Once I came into Middle School, though, no one played Pokemon anymore. I asked my 8 year-old neighbor if they knew what Pokemon was, and she said, " Oh yeah. That is so last year." I thought it was funny. She made it sound like Pokemon was some new thing that was popular for only a year.

I'll be 14 in about 20 days.

Pokemon is ok. Someone in my school who I don't really like is mad about it though and gets angry at me if I don't know a pokemon's name even though I have told him I have only played Gold.

I know that, but at least I never was the only one playing Pokémon (although most of the people played Pokémon through R4), and I even have friends between 22 and 35 years old, and they also enjoy Pokémon.
But a lot of teenagers still say, "That's for fucking kids!", while kids and adults (and mainly kids) most likely give me respect for it.

Oh yeah!
Who cares about the kids at school, my male friend who is 16 plays pokemon, he nas a pokemon white dsi, he got me a mellotta today and he might give me a genesect tommorow.

I don't know anyone that plays Pokemon, besides the people on the internet who play it. I used to know people like that, but they don't like Pokemon anymore.

Why did you edit my quote, by replacing "fucking" by "bleep*ing", if I may ask?

Also, it has to suck to be the only person you know in real life to play Pokémon.

Have you been oblivious to the censor filter on this forum

It was in the "Suggestions for Improvements" Thread, but for some good reason, I'm not affected to the filter.
At least, at IP.Board software, there's an option for Administrators to turn on/off word censor per group.

No. As far as I'm concerned, the filter is on by default, so you must have taken the trouble to disable it and some point and forg..

Ok so your post implies you knew about it and yet you asked him why he "edited" it. Why ask unnecessary questions, if I may very well ask?

>>Caboose
I asked the question, because I'm not really known to SMF, as I do know all ins and outs of IP.Board, the commercial concurrent of SMF.
Also, I didn't ask him, I asked her.

But I've checked out my settings, and it's indeed turned off, and I'll not turn it on.

You know, this whole thing of being immature is just dumb. I was called immature by some people in middle school and high school (b/c I love to laugh and act goofy!), but I am taking that "immaturity" and applying it somewhere where it would be useful! I am going to school to be a kindergarten/preschool teacher.

That's really neat! What grade(s) do you work with? I want to work with kindergarteners.

Mix of all grades, however most are younger grades or SEN, because I read with them and most the older kids are independant readers so I don't often read with them.
