sarcasm tags, i understand. what i don't get is when you use them or otherwise make it incredibly clear you're being sarcastic and then people still think you're being serious.
Why is it that whenever I try to peacefully earn money on GTA Online, I have to suffer the wrath of the toxic playerbase?

All the more reason why I have to intention to ever earn money by playing video games such as with videos
Ok so I'm almost done with college. In a year or two I'll go to my job. It's going to be a very...interesting to say the least new phase in my life. You know, having to for the first time ever get up really early and go to work for eight hours every weekday. It'll take some adjusting and getting used to but I think all that time I spend in work all day is going to probably make me even more appreciate all the free time I have once I get home and on the weekends. LOL nowadays as a college student without a job I sleep in til 10:30 AM, but once I get my job, I'll probably have to get up at 8. Meh, not as bad as how when I was a kid when me and my dad went fishing I'd have to get up as the sun was literally coming up (6 AM). And at least I'll get paid for it; I selected a job I'll have fun at and that pays very well.
Starting tomorrow, I will be playing through the original Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, a game I have not played in several years. This means that I won't be as active as I usually am during this week. I also recently found a stylus that I can use to play the game with! Hooray!

I've recently been doing a Mario & Luigi marathon because I haven't played the games in so long. I'm hyped for Brothership!
I am DONE with summer classes for the summer, I took a US Criminal Law class and a Comparative Politics class. I preferred the US Criminal Law class because it was in person and not as stretched out (I'd been doing the Comp. Pol class since the middle of May so it's almost the entire summer) but both were good

@Veneer Wait, you did eight courses in eight weeks? Was this in high school or early college? What were they?

I know one of my friend's girlfriend is interested in physical therapy, but I'm curious to know what you're planning to get a job in

college, i was uhhhh 15? 16? due to covid high schoolers were allowed to take actual (NOT dual credit) college classes over the summer and i maxxed out my credits since they were all free. they were anatomy 1, dosage and calcuation, nutrition, art appreciation, health and wellness for life, medical law and ethics, and i think one i'm forgetting lol. one of these professors flat out denyed my autism accomidations so hard that i up and took my midterm without accomidations (which is illegal btw) and it got him in big fat ass trouble LMAO

im gonna do basic nursing first but really wanna get into radiology. there's also a bunch of certificates in the medical field that can instantly let you work (CNA, QMA, phlebotomy..) that i am also picking up.
My parent's dog chewed my laptop charger into oblivion today so i had to buy a replacement (she destroyed my expensive sunglasses as well today). I managed to get on the internet on another device just to let you know about this but you probably wont see me on here for a week or so until i get my laptop running again

We have a dog that likes to chew things too. He even got my headphones yesterday! Thankfully he just grabbed them and didn't actually try to bite/chew on them.
Gonna be honest with ya: I find grown up cats cuter than kittens

Gotta be honest with ya: Both puppies and grown up dogs are cuter than both
am i crazy or is this board dying

there just seems to be a lot less activity nowadays lol

Less activity temporarily doesn't always mean dying
And there's still some activity right now

People are still posting stuff and making threads and commenting in threads pretty much every day so I don't think this board is "dying" at all.
I'm thinking of changing my theme for August, and I'm thinking of choosing between Goombario and E-103 Delta. Which do you guys like better?

One of the users here is Goombuigi, so maybe E-103 Delta? I've only played Paper Mario out of the two games but have heard mostly good things about Sonic Adventure.

easily my most unpopular opinion i hold is that i think people under 18 should be banned from like most, if not all, social media sites

i'm not even joking either, that shit is dangerous to people's mental health and if we can't ban social media entirely, at the very least we should be able to ban kids from them

plus that's putting a lot of trust in a law to not view any social posting website as bannable/restricted in the process

I think minors should be able to access social media, but if they're too young (under 13) they'll need some parental supervision (and besides we already have a poorly enforced age restriction don't we?). Over 13? It's probably still up for parents to decide, but kids over 13 should just be made aware of the risks, misinformation (parents should teach kids how to spot lies and disinformation; also how to avoid coercion and predators, although adults fall for this crap too), and whatnot and if they know their mental health is affected they should see therapists and school counselors. If kids proceed knowing the risks (and they don't share sensitive information), then I guess if they wanna be wound up in drama, so be it.

I know it's unpopular but the idea that people under 18 should be barred from social media is draconian, overstates the risks, and there too much overreach into kids' lives.

Besides kids are smart enough to lie anyway. Ive been on GameFAQs when I was like 10.

@Veneer forums may technically be a form of social media but nowadays people treat the term 'social media' as synonymous with 'social network' which is shit like twitter, tumblr, facebook, etc.

besides forums are a dying medium anyways, places like this are a rare breed nowadays
