people literally all until nintendo formally announced the switch 2: i really hope they don't do anything crazy with the switch 2. the switch concept is a winning formula for nintendo, so the successor should build on that. be a refinement with some new gimmicks but not something totally different, y'know? like how the 3DS was a refinement on the DS

I know what you mean... after the Lite and the OLED, I thought for sure they'd finally release the Switch Pro... maybe next year...

I would have prefered something that made a call-back to the past like the "Super Switch" (NES and SNES) or "Switch U", I guess (Wii and Wii U), preferably the first one. It might just be a placeholder title for all we know

The Wii U failed, and a good part of that was due to people being confused on the name. Switch 2 is a way for Nintendo to never make that mistake again. Is it creative? No, but it's straightforward.
