You know, being an administrator on a wiki is a bit of a funny feeling. Like, when you first join you look up to admins as leaders with a lot of editing experience, but when you actually become one you're still used to that feeling that there's a team above you calling the shots. I mean, yeah, WiKirby has an Editor-in-Chief that calls most of the shots, but a single user can't be active 24/7, and when that burden shifts to you...it just feels kind of awkward.
I needed to get this off my chest. Yes, I'll admit that when I first started editing wikis in 2017 I had that same dream we all did of becoming a wiki admin, but the dream is quite different from reality. It's a lot of work, a lot of adjustment, and it's not all just fun and games. I still love it, of course, but it does feel a lot different.
