    Unpopular opinion but I do think things would be better off in the long term if we phased out physical copies of games. It would reduce the amount of production that would go into making the plastics required to make each copy. Of course, we would also need consumer protections to ensure that we own the rights to the digital assets we bought.

    I think this is inevitable to happen at some point, and I can see reasons for doing so even though I generally like physical copies myself, in part because we unfortunately live in a world where we don't have sufficient rights as consumers to own the things we "buy" digitally.

    Yeah I'm all for maintaining physical media for TV shows and movies because there are genuine quality advantages for that over streaming but when it comes to video games? Yeah nah, get some way of consumer protections for digital games and then I really couldn't care less if physical died tomorrow. It's the exact same data anyway, you're not getting a lower quality game digitally vs physically.

    @Xiahou Ba Personally I always hated long drives as a kid, even going on vacation, if they took four to six hours or more; they were pretty boring and I got pretty tired; I imagine that as an adult having to actually do the driving for that long would be even more exhausting. God, now thinking about that I feel bad for my Dad because he usually did the driving.

    Hey Xiahou Ba, are the shootings finally dying down? I really hope so, that's why I made my comment earlier about waiting til Minecraft Movie comes out on digital to watch it. I mean last year things were crazy out of control with SO many shootings going on literally everywhere it seemed like almost all the time (even some at freaking grocery stores; how scary is that?) and I'm not sure yet if it's begun to settle down and the violence is stopping yet.

    Hey Ray Trace, I have some news for you. Might be good news if you want this, or bad news if you don't. If you don't want this said poster has agreed to willingly remove this reuploaded mod from the Steam Workshop, but anyway, a user named Jedi Of 1985 has reuploaded your Baby Mario characters to the Steam Workshop so that people can enjoy them again. If you don't want this he promises to take them down. Hopefully you're happy about this and not upset.

    That's great. Also things are turning around on the workshop as the reuploader says this:

    someone ported the gameplay system of metroid prime to the workshop and nintendo literally did not touch that. the whole dmca shit is very spotty and targeted.

    @Xiahou Ba Yeah I know it's kind of why I think Nintendo didn't really do it. I think Aaron Peters is an imposter, but of course there are people who disagree with me. I'm fine with that though. I guess either theory is equally likely.

    Well maybe, maybe not. I didn't have any other graphics glitches like that for the entire rest of the game, so....I really don't know. I do remember however I watched a YouTube gamer play a rip-off of the Nintendo Wii called the "Vii" and during the baseball game there was a part where the catcher's sprite jittered LOL. That's how bad of a ripoff it was. It also was made in 2006 when the Wii came out, but had SNES-like graphics. It was a piece of crap. Nowhere as good as an actual Wii. Thankfully when the Nintendo Wii came out in 2006 my parents bought me the real thing and not one of those terrible knockoffs.

    Xiahou Ba from Dynasty Warriors 8 (he's a historical figure too in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms period but obviously didn't look like a boy irl), my second favorite character in the game! He wields a rocket spear (game calls it a siege spear but you know), which is my favorite weapon in the game.

    Screw X/Twitter. It's got this boring black and white color scheme now that Elon Musk has control of it and on top of that people hate him in general. He's a bad person in general too. I mean for one thing he's really racist; he blamed the California wildfires on black firefighters. That really makes me angry. His (very obvious) racism is so disgusting to me. 😠

    He's also just a bad person in general as well though.

    Astro Bot won GOTY and I'm very happy it did. As much as I love Baldur's Gate 3 and how good Elden Ring is, it's a bit nice to see a different genre with colorful, cute, playful aesthetics win it once in a while, as they did with It Takes Two in 2021. Honestly I would have played it if it weren't stuck to the PlayStation.

    I'm not certain that Astro Bot is worth buying an entire PlayStation 5 for, but it's such good fun every step of the way. I genuinely have nearly no problems with it so far, it's the closest thing to a perfect game I've seen in recent years and just oozes with Mario DNA - especially Galaxy, which is my favorite game of all time.

    Sounds like a fun game; I might play it sometime. I might buy a new Playstation console someday but this upcoming year I'm going to get a Switch 2 for Christmas. Is it a good platformer? If it is, I might like it a lot just like how I love Mario and Spyro so much.
