Re: Mario Tennis 3DS
I think Shroobs would make and excellent character (if I may promote them a bit). They have a style unique to them, and it would be very easy to come up with Power Shots.
In terms of courts, I don't really care much as long as they have the option to take out the...
I have a feeling this is going to devolve into a "who's my favorite character" thread. People can just suggest whoever they want, even one shot characters.
You'd think I'd vote Shroobs, but I don't think their underrated, just not in enough games. They seem to get plenty of credit as the...
It seems to me that it won't matter much which one you get. I'd go with Mario Power Tennis if you were me, as it is the more competitive of the two, but if you're looking for a party game, Mario Kart Wii is the better choice.
If you don't have to use it, you really don't need to complain about it. It's meant for people who don't want to go through all of the stress of the extremely hard levels (though, I'd argue they were playing the wrong game, but still).
Anyways, definitely DKCR. New Super Mario Bros. was...
Re: Overrated Mario Characters
Why isn't Fawful on the list? MOST OVERRATED CHARACTER EVAR
I'd like Waluigi to be put on here too, just because everyone keeps talking about him being so creative and special. It's fine that you think that, I guess, but I really don't think he should be in any...
I'm agreeing with the disagree. Donkey Kong Country Returns was a very fun game and it was well done, but I can't put it at the same level as Donkey Kong Country 2. I'd even say it was a different game entirely if it wasn't for the namesake. The game didn't really feel like a DKC game, but...
Re: I thought Rosalina would never appear again......
I always thought it was strange to put Rosalina as a heavyweight, but I guess they counted the Luma. Even though he was floating...
Re: Mario Tennis 3DS
Koopa used to be in a few spin-offs before the Gamecube, I believe. Paratroopa was the next logical jump. I think it was nice to be able to play as flying characters. It put a new perspective on the game of tennis.
I thought Hotel Mario was a platformer...I suppose I was wrong.
Anyways, my point was that there is no way that The Lost Levels is the worst platformer, when it was literally just a harder version of the first Super Mario Bros. I could see you saying Super Mario Bros. is the worst as it has...
Re: Mario Tennis 3DS
Why they decided to put Wiggler in the game, I will never know. He always looked so awkward. I'd like to see Rosalina in it, actually. I think she'd be an interesting addition, and it wouldn't be very hard to come up with Power Shots for her.
Re: Mario Tennis 3DS
I'm pretty sure I said this in another thread, but I hope they fix the Defensive Power Shots so that the game doesn't boil down into who can charge their racket the fastest.
There's nothing wrong with expressing distaste in a game or idea, as long as you do it maturely. It is a discussion about the game, after all. Just don't go around hating things without reasoning.
What's so bad about Shadow Mario?
I don't have a problem with him. I was just saying that Shadow Mario wasn't a power up, so he would be more pleasing to Dr. Eggman (at least according to what he said).
Re: Mario Tennis 3DS
Hmm...How about if Toad could throw vegetables as his Offensive Power Shot? And maybe he could go into the Dark World (or whatever the potion makes you go to), and come out to hit the ball for his Defensive Power Shot?
I have no idea what Toadette's could be though. She...
Re: Mario Tennis 3DS
I don't mind Toad and Toadette returning, but what would be their Power Shots? Come to think of it, what would the babies Power Shots be?
Re: I thought Rosalina would never appear again......
Yes, but she's the only Princess (from what I believe) that doesn't get kidnapped. That's part of the reason why she gets so much attention.
Yeah, the minigames in the first three (well, at least the second and third games) felt unique and inspired. After a while they lost that to me.
If you're just looking for good minigames, I think that the 64 Mario Parties were the best for it.
What do you mean? Every game the babies have starred in has done well in sales (I believe). Any game Yoshi stars in by himself does poorly (he's only had two). The babies also have their own RPG. Plus, the babies always overshadow Yoshis in the games they also star in.
If you're talking...
Shroobs.
What? You only fight them once in the game (technically), and they don't do anything major by themselves (technically). It counts right? No? Okay then...
How about... um...I can't think of anything else...
In his own game though? I could understand if it was a Mario game or something, but we're talking about a Yoshi game. Yoshi should be the main character, and the main focus. Even Mario games focus on Mario. For the most part, Yoshi games focus on the babies. I don't think that's right.
You're right! How did you know?
I loved the final battle with Elder Princess Shroob. The story really felt like a climax with the ending music and the atmosphere. I thought it was really well done. I should find that game again.
I've never played Ace Attorney, but I would definitely consider Professor Layton as a casual game. It's very difficult sometimes, but that does not make it hardcore.
I wouldn't call all puzzle games casual though. It depends on the game. Pokemon Puzzle League is a game I'd consider hardcore.
