You can make the same argument for a lot of Mario characters. It's only some who are actually hated more than liked, or some just outright ignored.

Rosalina is just the new Daisy, a generally liked popular character who gets enormous amount of hate. People don't care about Cat Peach or Tanooki Mario because they're just Peach and Mario in furry suits. Same with the metal reskins.

They do, because she's in far more games than any of them. Hell, one of the things people gave Mario Kart 8 crap about when it started off was that Rosalina was the new Funky Kong for being everywhere online.

Far more people (both fans and casuals) hate Baby Rosalina, Pink Gold Peach, and even Rosalina than Cat Peach, Tanooki Mario, and Dry Bowser. Two of them are more or less forgotten, and the other one is more or less generally liked and actually has a basis beyond Mario Kart.

If you're going to play that dumb card, then 'Elsa' is in the same boat as Daisy and Waluigi since they all got passed up in the most successful Mario game of all time in favor of Toadette. :toadette:

Yoshizilla-Rhedosaurus is gonna have a field day with this now that Peach x Toadette is canon. That and Toadette actually being playable, along with a variety of characters, are three good things in this game's favor.

Considering the existence of Jigglypuff and Luigi's status during the 64 era, 'relevancy' and all that nonsense doesn't mean anything. It never has since the original, notably because Samus didn't even have an N64 game. It just happens. Doesn't matter if it's good, bad, or eh, it just happens.

Galaxy 1 is a horrible marriage of the worst bits of the old Mario games, the Sonic Adventures, and Star Wars. Not to mention the godawful motion controls. Galaxy 2 is just Galaxy 1 infected by NSMBS. 3DWorld is a bastard child of Mario Party and NSMB while also being a bastardization of SMB2USA.
