Me too. I liked it better when it was Super Mario 3D

Re: Super Mario 3DS

Maybe because it'll be the first 3D Mario title that'll be based on the 2D Super Mario titles, instead of the past 3D titles.

Re: Super Mario 3DS

I don't think this game is based off Super Mario Land at all. It looks more Super Mario Bros. 3 based.

I agree with Fawfulfury on her interpretation of the title

Re: Super Mario 3DS

I really don't think this game is part of the Super Mario Land series

Re: Super Mario 3DS

You forgot about Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land, but I'm not sure if that counts.

And I don't think it will. Super Mario 3D Land is more Super Mario Bros. 3 based than Super Mario Land. I don't even think that there will be ONE Super Mario Land thing mentioned in that game

I think it wiil because of the fact that there are only two games in the series and there needs to be another one

I don't think we will ever see a Super Mario Land 4. Why? The Super Mario Land games were oddball titles (in the fact that they are the only main-series games to not have Bowser in any role) simply intended to attract Mario fans to the Gameboy. They were as innovative as the PS2 slim was to the PS2 original; nothing new, just in a smaller package. SML3 didn't even feature Mario, just the antagonist from the 2nd game, Wario. I'm almost glad they aren't making another SML game, the Mario 3D games (like SM3DL) are much better. In fact, I think the only connection between SML and SM3DL is the title.

Re: Super Mario 3DS

I never got the chance to play the Super Mario Land series.

Re: Super Mario 3DS

From what I seen, Super Mario Land is a strange game. Nothing in that game would make its way into Super Mario 3D Land, which is already based off Super Mario Bros. 3

Re: Super Mario 3DS

I haven't posted here yet, but I just watched the trailer after a while and it still looks awesome. Especially since Boom Booms returning. Those weird cardboard Goombas are a mystery though.

The cardboards are more to teach you the new moves and controls of the 3DS.

>>Koopayoshi
Yes, the rolling move allows you to go into spaces, impossible to access by walking, even if you're small Mario.

Re: Super Mario 3DS

It looks like rolling will be the main move kinda like how star spin was in Super Mario Galaxy.

Re: Super Mario 3DS

No, you just run, and press the R button to roll.
It feels more like combination between Long Jump and diving from SM64.
At least, it felt like that when I played the demo.

Re: Super Mario 3DS

Well, if Donkey Kong and Link could roll, why not Mario?
